This month's theme is "Creative Devine Mother." At first, I thought "devine" with an "e" was intentional, but after a quick Google, I'm pretty sure it's just a misspelling of "divine." I'm far from perfect when it comes to making typos, but this is such a prominent typo that it definitely got a side-eye from me.

The products this month are listed on the back of the card, along with a yoga sequence to follow.

Creative Boho Mala - Listed Value $65.00

A mala is a meditation tool—you can count the beads, or say your mantra for every bead on the necklace. Loop it over your head, and a mala can double as a beautiful beaded necklace.

This mala is pretty, though the colors aren't quite me. Not that I don't like bright colors, but the combination of these colors looks a little too cutesy for me. But I'm someone who mostly wears black, white, and gray—this bright palette would look kind of out of place on me, but it could look so cute on someone with a more vibrant wardrobe!

Here it is on. I will say that the quality of this mala doesn't feel like it justifies the $65.00 price that the info card gives it. The beads look like they're glass (probably not plastic?) that's been dyed to create the color, rather than stones that are naturally that shade. And the fabric on the tassel is soft but doesn't feel like any kind of sophisticated material. It's very thin and raw-edged, too. So it's pretty, but it doesn't feel authentic to me.

Let's see what's in the second bag.

This bracelet is actually one super-long loop of beads on an elasticized thread.

It's long enough that you could wear it as a necklace if you wanted.

It does make a great bracelet, though. The stretch and the roundness of the beads make it really comfortable to wear. This small pop of pink is more up my alley than all the bright pink and turquoise of the mala. The info card says these beads are made from actual pink agate and amethyst, but I'm not sure if these are legit stones or just the color of pink agate and amethyst. It is super cute though. And the embroidery floss tassel is a neat accent!

Cocomels - Listed Value $1.49 (buy a 3.5 oz. bag for $6.99)

These candies are so tasty! Made from coconut milk, these caramels seem lighter and slightly nuttier than typical caramel candies. Plus, they're non-GMO, gluten-free, non-dairy, and organic!

I could eat a ton of these chewy caramels. There's only 5 in the package, thank goodness!

Verdict: This box is only $24.95 and has free shipping for US customers. The info card values the products in the box at $98.49, but that seems way too high for what these items are. If they were made with real gemstones, that would make sense, but I'm not sold on the materials being legit. There's just something about these pieces that remind me of pieces I could find at any accessories store. Especially since it's a yoga subscription, I kind of wanted the items in the box to have more authenticity and intention behind them. I did really like the Cocomels and bracelet, and while the mala wasn't my thing, I can totally see it making a nice gift for someone!

As far as the rv prices being high at least the stones are not plastic.

The question becomes.. is the price of the box approximately $21 worth 2 pieces of beaded at least glass not plastic prayer beads to you. Comes out to approximately $10.50 a piece after the discount not including the caramels. Great price.

I do agree with Lily this box is becoming boring though. Also should prayer beads really be worn as necklaces? Seems very odd. Seems like what ever meaning these beads intended to have got lost to a weird inappropriate fashion statement. Before lilys comment I thought cool great necklace. Yet after looking up Mala I will not wear them again as a necklace.

I really love the bead colors on the bracelet and mala, and while I would love to swap for them I also agree their prices are way too much. If they actually put where they sourced the items, perhaps the prices would be more believable.

A lot of semiprecious stones are dyed to achieve more vibrant colors. Even stuff like rose quartz.

Some glass is coated with a color but with most glass, the color is part of the glass formula and is present throughout the glass, not just on the outside (so it will usually be colorfast).

Semiprecious stones would be heavier than glass.

One thing I do find is after 2 years the elastic on most plastic threaded jewelry type items has been breaking easily. I wish they would put more non elastic items in their box. As well as change their box up a bit. I like and use prayer beads for prayer only not as necklaces. How ever I have accumulated to many prayer beads in these boxes. It would be great to see cute little boxes or pouches to store these items in. Being a subscriber for years the boxes have gotten a bit boring.

One thing I do not not under stand about this is box is no explanation on how a mala is used. A Mala. Is used for prayer not used as a necklace. Type in Mala. And tradition and history. No where am I reading that it is supposed to be used as a necklace for fashion reasons.

The quality and price has always been wonderful this box yet I do with they would explain traditional uses for malas and their history. Which is extremely important. After reading about the history of mala,s I will no longer wear them as necklaces or ad matching fashion pieces

Good idea Lllily! I’m new to meditation and Yoga and that’s the type of information I would like to know.

I think the beads are beautiful and I wouldn’t mind trying that candy!
