I've never reviewed a Skoshbox before this one, so I was SUPER excited to see what kind of treats were inside!

This month happens to be a Glico Sampler Box, which is awesome because they are the makers of Pocky, my all-time favorite Japanese snack!

The little booklet boasts that it includes new flavors, as well as some classics.

You can also check out what came in the other Tokyo Otaku Mode boxes.

Aw shucks, I didn't win any of the little treasures this month!

Check out this cool section of random facts. Never thought I'd learn from a snack subscription box, but here we are. Japan celebrates Children's Day on May 5th! That is something I vividly remember telling my parents while growing up that there SHOULD be, any time Mother's or Father's Day came around. Their response was always "every day is Children's Day". Touché, Mom n' Dad, touché.

I'm happy to finally know how to describe oily pizza in Japanese! Hehehe how fun!

There's even a community spotlight section where you can win $10 towards anything in their online shop!

Now let's get to SNACK TIME!

Pocky Squeeze: Grape - Value $3.49 (buy 4 boxes for $13.26 or 8 boxes for $25.13)

How happy was I to get to try this NEW Pocky flavor?! VERY! As soon as I ripped open the package, the smell of grape filled the room...and it tastes just like grape gum! Mmmmm. Apparently, this is made with 70% grape juice, so it's healthy, right?!

There are 3 separate packages to enjoy, so you can eat some now, and save some for later!

Almond Peak Crisp Peak - Value $2.99 (buy 4 boxes for $11.36 or 8 boxes for $21.53)

Gaaaaahhhhhh- I looove almonds in chocolate and these are no exception! I bit into one and was met with a crispity crunchity texture and a whole almond inside. The dark chocolate is really tasty and cocoa-y. Heaven!

They come 12 to a single tray, so you can slide them right out of the box and into your mouth.

Caplico Mini Cones - Listed Value $4.99/pk (Couldn't find these on the Otaku Mode site, but found what looks like the same thing in not as cute packaging on Amazon here. $6.98 for 9.)

I tried the vanilla first, which was sort of like eating dehydrated space ice cream, which is an experience unlike any other. The chocolate and strawberry followed suit, with more bold flavors. Imagine eating a dry ice cream cone, that has more of a light wafer texture. These weren't my favorite treats in the box to eat, but the packaging is crazy kawaii and eating a mini ice cream cone is always fun!

Behold the classic trio of ice cream flavors set before you!

Pretz: Cultured Butter - Value $1.99 (buy a 4-pack for $7.56 or an 8-pack for $14.33)

Uh, you guys. Have you ever had those butter flavored pretzels by Snyder's of Berlin or a similar company? You start eating a few, and next thing you know, you're shoveling handfuls into your mouth faster than you can breathe, and then the whole bag is gone in one sitting? These are JUST LIKE THOSE, but delicate and petite, so you don't feel like a total monster. These are SO BUTTERY and SALTY! I love a savory snack and these hit the spot after all the sweet treats. If you feel shame for wanting to go all out and eat a stick of butter, just have these instead... they have a more pleasant texture. Delicious!

Oh yes, there are 2 packs inside each box to devour.

Look at how plentiful and dainty!

Pocky Sunglasses in Red - Value $10?

I couldn't find these anywhere online to purchase since they are a promotional item, but they are a sturdy plastic and the lenses are UV protectant. They're red and have the classic wayfarer style that looks good on everyone. As dorky as it is, I'm pretty amped on rocking these because I am a Pocky superfan!

Look how cool I am in these babies! Arigato, Skoshbox!

Verdict: Skoshbox is amazing! I really enjoyed snacking on these new flavors and had never had any of them before. The grape Pocky was certainly the most interesting flavor, but the Almond Peaks had to be my personal fave. The value is definitely there, as I estimate this box to be at least $25 worth of product. I'd recommend Skoshbox to anyone who loves Japanese candy and treats, especially those who may not live in a city that has an Asian market they could pick these up at.

What do you think of Skoshbox? Which of the items from this month's box would you order 8 boxes of?
