Pop Shop America promises some bonus little goodies in each box. This month there was a magnet.

The jewelry this month came in stamped boxes with succulent and metallic heart washi tape edging. Pop Shop America pays such close attention to their packaging and details that make the unboxing experience a delight.

Brass Mountain Range Ring – Value $12.00?

This delicate brass ring reminds me of a mountain range. It’s open on one end like a cuff bracelet making it adjustable. I like the dainty look it and that is can easily be stacked with other rings for a unique look. This particular ring isn’t for sale on the Pop Shop America website but I am estimating it’s similar in value to the following ring.

Brass Circle Ring – Value $12.00

This brass ring is also open on one end and adjustable. The open circle makes it a bit larger than the previous ring and not as stackable in my eyes, but I love it all by itself so that’s fine by me. This ring has a more matte look to it as well which gives it a cool lived-in vibe.

Coral and Sterling Silver Necklace – Value $28.00?

This sterling silver chain is very long and delicate. It can easily be slipped over your head. The coral is carved into an arrow head shape and hangs like a pendant. I prefer my jewelry to be more sparkly so this matte muted blush color isn’t my cup of tea. I have a friend who will absolutely love this though and I’m glad to be able to pass it along. Based on the information booklet, the total box value this month is $55 which would make this necklace $28 if my other estimations are correct. I think that seems a bit high for what it is.

Palo Santo Smudge Stick – Value $3.00?

I have never used a smudge stick before and other than having read they are for burning to cleanse a space, I don’t know much about them. I wish Pop Shop had included some directions and literature as to the benefits of using a smudge stick. If you have experience using smudge sticks I’d love to hear about it in the comments. Based off of similar smudge sticks on Etsy I am estimating the value.

Verdict: The value this month according to the information card was $55 which is well above the cost of the box ($24, plus shipping). I really like, and will wear, both brass rings which come to $24 so to me the necklace is just a bonus I can gift to a friend. I enjoy supporting small handmade vendors and owning jewelry pieces that are unique and look forward to seeing what pieces will come each month. If you like artisan jewelry I recommend giving this uniquely curated, well-priced and thoughtfully packaged subscription a try.

  1. Just my opinion but what an overpriced box. The jewelry looks cheap and that arrowhead necklace? Gimme a break. My son finds arrowheads all the time. That’s an odd piece to include since it’s an squires taste and not very feminine. I’m guessing it was cheap to include. I’d pass on this box.

  2. I love the idea of this box, but the quality of the pieces? Ehhhh.

The circle ring looks like it needs to be polished and why make an arrowhead necklace with coral if you aren’t going to polish it? Might as well just use an actual arrowhead (though of course, they couldn’t claim the $28 price point if they did). I think a polished stone would have kicked up the necklace a notch and made it a more interesting piece!

  3. I really like that brass circle ring…..the rest….not so much.
