Penny + Grace is a new monthly jewelry subscription box specifically designed for people who just love that minimalist, delicate aesthetic. Pick your preferred color of metal—gold, silver, or rose gold—and you'll receive a monthly set of jewelry to satisfy your tastes.

According to the Penny + Grace site, "each delivery is guaranteed to contain a combined retail value of $45+ (USD) in varying jewelry pieces tailored to your color/metal choice."

I like the attention to detail on the packaging! It feels like opening a present.

I love the kind of "delicate" jewelry Penny + Grace specializes in—simple, yet charming pieces that can find their way into almost any outfit. I get easily distracted when jewelry shopping, and I too often end up buying pieces that have lots of wow factor, but not a ton of practicality. I'm hoping this subscription helps me build out the effortless, no-fuss end of my jewelry collection (which is severely lacking right now!).

I love the branding of this box, too. So modern and clean.

Everything comes packaged in this woven pouch. Thanks to subscription boxes, I feel like I have a lot of these kinds of branded, zippered pouches, but I've gotta say, I always find a use for them. You can use them for pencils and pens, makeup and brushes, laundry money... sometimes a pouch ends up being the most frequently used item from a box!

But let's get to the stars of the show: the jewelry!

Eternity Bracelet - Listed Value $16.00
This bracelet is as minimal as it gets!

The gold circle charm is flat and sits comfortably against my wrist. Speaking of comfort, the piece is very lightweight (but not fragile) and easy to wear.

The gold finish is just the kind of bright, yellowy gold that I like. Apparently, it's 18k, which should prevent it from turning my skin green, as so many inexpensive jewelry pieces tend to do!

Eternity Necklace - Listed Value $18.00
Look familiar? I did a bit of a double take when taking this necklace out of the box—at first, I thought they had accidentally sent me two of the same bracelet. Nope—just a coordinating design!

For some reason, as a necklace, the design actually feels more traditional, rather than modern. I like it nonetheless. Again, it's impossibly lightweight and easy to wear. Just the thing to add to an outfit that needs a bit of shine, but not too much. Keep scrolling—I'll try the necklace on in just a second...

Glitz Round Earrings - Listed Value $12.95
I love a good stud earring—something I can wear again and again in any number of outfits. These earrings, with their textured faces, have a bit of twinkle, but are bitty enough to be super versatile and unobtrusive.

Here's everything on, just to give you a sense of size and scale. See how low-key the earrings end up being? Also, I want to note that I had the necklace clasped on the tightest loop here. There's about 2 or 3 inches of length you can play around with on the chain. It doesn't get much longer, but it can be let out a little bit for comfort's sake.
The Verdict: I really liked this first pack from Penny + Grace! I do wish the "Eternity" designs had just a bit more character to them, but that's coming from someone who too often goes overboard with the quirky, unconventional accessories. I'm actually glad to have some simpler pieces to play around with. In terms of value, the only way I can really price these is to go by what the info card said (since the designs are Penny + Grace's). According to the card, there's about $46.95 of jewelry in this $19.99 box (with free shipping). I'll say that sounds fair—the prices they gave are probably on par with what I'd pay for nicer, but not extravagant pieces like this at the store. All in all, I'm pleased and eager to see what they come up with next month!
