I think this box is super cute and might be right up my alley. While I’m not sure if the items are coming from sites like Aliexpress (even if it did, as long as I can use it, I don’t mind), they are supporting an artist every month. Maybe that’s why the price point is a tad bit higher compared to sub boxes that we’re used to seeing.

I’ll be interested to see this sub reviewed. Maybe it’ll be amazing and worth the steep price.

That is not a good promotional photo for a box that’s over $40 with shipping. One can acquire a Popsugar subscription for that price. Popsugar may not be “quirky” but it does set a bar for that price range. And cell phone cases are too personalized to be in sub boxes outside of ones specifically created for phone cases. You can’t just assume everyone owns an iPhone.

I was so excited when I saw the word quirky (I’ve passed into The Certain Age where I’m old enough to be called eccentric), and I love the stuff shown (I also looked at their page on CrateJoy), but yeah, so not worth it.

I’ve seen different kinds of unicorn and mermaid makeup brushes on wish.com, $15-20 for a set of about a dozen. They aren’t totally horrible quality, and they look totally rad sitting on my vanity.

remember writing notes to friends with a different color for every line with that color-changing pen?

where can i find the pizza surfing cat socks? i’m well into my 30s and not ashamed to ask and very thankful for an answer.

I loved those kinds of pens – and Target has a better quality one for $3.99.

I tried posting a link but I don’t know if it worked :/ I found the socks on the forever 21 website for 2.99.

thank you, anna! 🙂

Is it just me or does it bug anyone that they spelled stationery incorrectly? Twice?

HAHA!!

It’s not just you. Because if you’re gonna be selling it, spell it right.

Uh no. 5-8 items of Dollar store garbage for $40? I’ll take my dollar bills there myself and save $35.

My exact thoughts. There’s some cute stuff in there, but nothing looks high quality or like anything I couldn’t find at the dollar store or on AliExpress.

If that photo is representative of what a box would be, I don’t think any of that is hard to find and I don’t see the value. I could get that stuff for $15 probably, not $40+. Cute but no thanks.

It would make a cute box pr gift for a preteen or teen girl. If I had a daughter, niece or granddaughter I might possibly be interested in a very short term sub. Personally, I feel like the sub market is getting overloaded with these sorts of boxes and I will stick with the more established boxes that have stuff I will actually put to use.

I recognize most of those items from AliExpress where they are super inexpensive with mostly free shipping. I rather have a box just for indie pins than another box of “unique” AliExpress finds.

Hmm. Not impressed so far. Plus shipping on a sub box? Pass

And it doesn’t seem all that quirky, to be honest – it’s not desperately different from a lot of boxes that offer cute, colourful stuff – and I say that as a fan of that type of box.

Agreed!
