The bag came with this information card. This month, it did have some directions for the items, which was useful since a lot of the items had very little English on them.

Peripera Kitten Spot Care Patch Jumbo (96 patches) – Value $7.63

If I didn’t say it elsewhere, I subscribe to the “oily/acne” version of TutiiBag. Even though I am 39, I still have trouble with breakouts sometimes. I actually have not used products like these before. These have salicylic acid and tea tree oil, both of which are good against acne. I used these for a few nights in a row in the same spot ,and I do think I saw a difference, but only after several uses. However, you get quite a lot of these in one package. These stayed adhered all night and didn’t irritate my skin (I have issues with some bandage adhesives so that is a real concern).

Missha Self Nail Salon Care Look Capsule Essence (9 ml) – Value $3.10

I haven’t been wearing nail polish much lately because my nails are in bad shape, but it meant I had a chance to try this out right away. A little bit of this goes a long way, and you don’t get the little capsules in every drop. I am having a hard time finding the ingredients for this, but the idea is that the capsules come apart when you rub the product into your nails and cuticles, releasing helpful ingredients. I have yet to see an effect (I suspect it will take several applications), but this was a lot less greasy than a lot of nail and cuticle creams I’ve used. I’ll probably reach for it more often than some of the others in my collection.

Farm Stay Lemon Intensive Moisture Foot Cream (100 ml) – Value $4.20

This is a bit hard to find online and is sold out in a lot of places (including the one I’ve linked to, but hopefully it will come back in stock soon). This has kind of a strong artificial lemon scent (like cleaning solution), but it did absorb reasonably well and without leaving my feet all greasy. I think I am going to do a foot peel soon (I need it), and this should be even better for maintenance of smooth feet after that.

Dewy Tree Snail Vitalizing Pure Natural Mask Sheet – Value $1.49 (buy 10 masks for $14.90)

This appears to have undergone a packaging change at some point. Oh well, it was not expired (I have never received an expired or spoiled product from TutiiBag, for the record). As you might expect, the key ingredient here is snail secretion filtrate. This contains some polymers that hold onto water near the surface of the skin, so it is very moisturizing. It has been hot here lately, and my skin has been irritated, probably due to some makeup product or other that I’ve used, and this was definitely soothing as well as hydrating. It took a rather long time for the essence to dry, but it did not interfere with subsequent application of makeup or other skincare products.

Missha Skin Peeling Pad (1 piece) – Value $1.04

This was an odd thing. According to the images on the back of the package, first you rub the light-colored part on your face, then follow up with the green part. So that is what I did. The initial effect was very much like when you use a peeling gel– chunks of something bead up on your skin. I don’t believe this was all dead skin cells, as I exfoliate my face regularly and there just isn’t that much dead skin to remove. I think it is probably the serum or essence solidifying in some way. Anyway, rubbing the product on my skin probably did exfoliate some. I am not sure what the green part added to it, as it did not remove the product from my skin. For removal, I rinsed my face off (I was in the shower), and my skin did feel very clean and smooth afterward. However, in the future, I will probably just stick with peeling gels, as I feel they are easier to use.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $17.46 for the May 2017 TutiiBag. Please keep in mind that prices for Asian beauty are all over the place, and I couldn’t find these all from one source, so the actual U.S. retail value may be higher. At any rate, that is above the cost of the subscription (shipping to the U.S. is free). I enjoyed trying the products and liked that there are at least three products (patches, foot cream, nail treatment) that I will get multiple uses out of. I also felt that the products this month were really well-suited to my own skincare needs, so overall, I am happy.
