This box comes with an individual card detailing each item. First up:
Ripauste 3-Piece Set in Black or Camel- Value $135
- Pouchette Bandouliere with removable handle
- Pochette Small Wallet
- Belt
I'm a bit obsessed with this bag! The leather is soft and the construction is impressive. Plus, I love the minimalist design and the slightly slouchy look.
The fold over top has a magnetic snap to hold it in place and the strap is removable:
No lining inside, but the Ripauste label is there:
Here it is on to give you a better sense of scale:
It easily fits my phone, wallet, lip balm, hand sanitizer, etc.
This little coin purse has the same foldover design as the bag. (It fits in the bag, too.)
This belt measures about 41 inches long with 7 adjustment holes.
Just like with the bag and coin purse, the leather is so soft!
Circ-Skincare Daily Hydration Broad Spectrum SPF 43 – Value $50
This is the most lightweight SPF I've ever sampled! It absorbed almost instantly, too. And oil-free! I don't think I could see myself spending $50 on sunscreen, but it's great to get in a box!
Venice Beach Candle Company – VBCC x Jules Smith Americana Jewelry Candle – Value $48
This Americana candle scent is described as a "clean, floral scent inspired by the spirit of wanderlust and the American dream. Fresh notes of jasmine and orchid are complemented by musky denim."
And when you melt the candle down, a jewelry piece from Jules Smith is revealed! Use tweezers to remove the foil, and then unwrap to reveal your earrings! Here's what was in my candle:
Betty Studs ($35 Value)
These delicate stud earrings are plated with 14k gold! (Definitely the nicest jewelry piece I've seen in any jewelry candle!)
Rose et Marius Orange Blossom Hand Creme – Value $18
This hand creme is my favorite Rose et Marius scent yet! It reminds me of Bobbi Brown's Beach fragrance - this scent is just a bit more powdery. The hand cream is on the small side (50 ml), but you only need a bit, so it should last a while.
Mariposa Blue Peony Trinket Dish – Value $44
This dish is made with recycled sand-cast aluminum, coated in blue enamel.
It measures about 6 inches across with 1.5 inches in depth.
This piece doesn't fit my decor/design esthetic, but fortunately, it comes boxed and ready to gift!
Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $295. I think that value is good for a luxe box! (And given the quality of the bag + coin purse + belt, I actually expected their retail value to be higher.) Everything is a hit for me with the exception of the Mariposa dish.
What do you think of the May 2017 Luxor Box? What was your favorite item in the box?
