They told me to put it in the mailbox “return to sender” and I’ll get credited back when they receive it. I’m dubious, but I did as they said.

Well I did receive a credit. I guess it worked. I’m glad. I didn’t want that disposable play.

Ridiculously small bottles of products and “packed” with free samples that the vendors would give away for free…

Anyone able to return this for a refund?

I just received the two boxes that I ordered. It is definitely a tiny play and not what I ordered. I got two for teen boys that are environmentally conscious and won’t want to use something for a month and throw it away. I use a Clarisonic mia and would be frustrated if I had to just throw away anything more than the head which gets gross. This is one sad customer.

Aw man. I don’t want that. My son is the same way as yours are. He’s not going to use a disposable product. I was hoping they’d send what they advertised. I can’t believe they changed the copy and didn’t tell us and offer us a refund. If they changed the copy before the orders went out why wouldn’t they just refund everyone they baited and switched? If they had told me I would have canceled my order.

Now what? Do we have any recourse?

I just had a nice conversation with a customer service rep who was very apologetic about the mix up – it was simple human error. They caught the mistake and changed the copy as quickly as they could. So, I’m okay with that – it still is a very good deal, in my opinion.

I called just now and they said I was the first one to inquire about the change. It took them a while to get back to me but they said it is still the mini 2 but its a trial size that is good for 50 uses which is the Play. Not sure why they are calling it a trial size mini 2.

I just wrapped up a 25 minute call with them – at first they tried the same line about the trial size mini 2, only they told me it was only good for 30-40 uses, but I gently insisted that the item described yesterday was the Mini 2, and that the trial size is called the Play, as the changed language on their website reflects. At that point, they did refer to the product as the Luna Play, so that is definitely what we are getting, and they admitted that they listed the mini 2 in error yesterday.

At that point, I mentioned that I participated in this forum/group/website and that there were some women who wondered what their recourse would be if they wanted to return the box, since it does not contain the Mini 2 as originally stated (and that we have screenshots to prove it). The customer service representative was not able to determine the policy for this, since it is likely unprecedented for them, so she took down my question and contact information and passed it along to a manager, she says I should hear back from them within a week.

… and that’s what I know!

Please keep us updated. Thanks.

Starla

Can’t wait to hear what they say!

Dayne

Thanks, that’s useful to know!

Dayne

Is there any recourse for those of us who purchased it and have screen shots of the Luna 2 being part of the purchase? I’ve never purchased something and had the conditions change before.

Did anyone take a screenshot of the website before they changed it to the “play”?

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

Yes, I did.

Angela

Could I get an email of it as well? Thanks.

Lenya

…could you email me that screenshot? 😅

The Play is listed now.

The linked website now lists the Foreo Play

Starla

Well I bit because of the Luna Mini 2. I hope I’m not too disappointed when it magically becomes the play…

It definitely looks like the LUNA play — the design on the front of the LUNA that’s pictured above looks exactly like the play version. If they don’t send what’s listed (the LUNA Mini 2), they’re going to have some VERY angry customers. There’s such a huge value/price discrepancy between the two versions. You’d think they would clarify this, as there are no refunds or exchanges on this box.

It is the PLAY. I checked the actual GQ site and it clearly lists it as the Play. Not sure why the order form lists the wrong thing but I wonder if they’ll give any options for those who bought this thinking they were getting the Mini.

I’m guessing it’s the Luna Play because the mini 2 has a silver part at the base where I think the battery goes. The Play doesn’t have that, and neither does the one in GQ photo.

Is the Play the one that is only good for a certain number of uses?

Lenya

I noticed that too, Michelle – between the listed box value and the lack of the charging base, I would assume it’s the Play (which is not rechargeable and only good for about a month of usage) – which is why I am so confused by the Mini 2 being listed.

I wish I had gotten a more definitive answer from customer service, but since the box is limited edition and just released and the customer service line is focused on the Allure beauty box, they didn’t really know what I was asking about and I don’t think they’ve been briefed on it, or understood my question.

Ah well, either way I will be happy – but if it’s the Mini 2, I’ll be REALLY happy lol

I got in just in case it is the Foreo Luna Mini 2!

Reply ButtonReply

Lenya

Right?! 😀

I wish I knew for certain which it was – if it’s truly the Mini 2, I would buy more boxes for gifts and backup!

Erika

There is a GQ Award Winning Foreo Luna 2 on Amazon for $199. I’m buying this boss in the event it is truly that one. I’ve been wanting a Foreo forever and my husband will everything else. 🙂

Lenya

Hi Liz – do you know if it is really the Luna Mini 2 and not just a Luna Play? Given the Luna Mini 2’s $139 retail cost, I’m assuming they meant to say this box includes the Luna Play, which is $39 normally (so still making this a great deal) – either way, I bought the box, but if I’m getting a Luna Mini 2 I’m going to be amazed!

Reply ButtonReply

Lenya

Update – I called customer service, and they say that if the Mini 2 is listed, then that is what we will receive (although she did not seem to understand the difference between the Mini 2 and the Play, so take this with a grain of salt – basically she said if they list a Mini 2 on the website, then we are getting the Mini 2 and not the Play) – so if this really is the case, they shoul increase the retail value, since the Mini 2 is worth $139 on its own!

I’m totally keeping most of this box for myself! The pomade, exfoliating bar, and shaving cream will go to my bestie – his birthday is in June, so this is a nice head start on my gift shopping.

Michelle

Oh man I really want this box for myself! But between the popular and fff discounts in the past couple of days, I’ve already splurged on too many new subs!
