Lyeska Eye Cream Siberian Cedar Nut – Arctic Root (0.5 fl oz) - Value $52.00
Wow! The value of this product alone covers the cost of the box. Plus, this is an extremely useful product so I’m excited to receive this product. I tried it last night and it’s very emollient. I liked it a lot! I tried to find additional reviews online but there weren’t any on the Etsy website or on Amazon but I did find this article saying that Lyeska was named Best Newcomer in the 2016 Best of Show Winners at the Indie Beauty Expo (IBE).
Here’s the description from the Lyeska website:
This restorative and rejuvenating cream combines Arctic root (rhodiola), cornflower, raspberry and white tea extracts with the Vitamin E and fatty acids of Siberian cedar nut oil, to nourish and hydrate skin cells, boost collagen production, promote circulation, reduce dark circles and firm and smooth the delicate skin around the eyes.
May You Know Joy – Seeds of Intention Cards - Value $15.00
My plan is to add these cards to our morning routine in order to boost our mindfulness during the day. The May You Know Joy website says:
Intentions put your dreams and aspirations into motion creating a life of conscious awareness and purpose.
I think these cards are a fun way to start the day and would make a nice gift for someone into mindfulness. These cards are good quality- on nice thick glossy stock similar to playing cards.
Sprout Living – Green Kingdom Epic Protein (1.2 oz) - Value $3.50
This plant based protein drink has 20 grams of protein and includes: “Spirulina, an antioxidant-rich blue-green algae with supplies of protein and vitamins A, K and B; Kale, which is high in vitamins A, C and K and has a superb calorie to protein ratio; and Indian Moringa, or the “Clarifier Tree,” an incredibly nutritious plant that has significant quantities of calcium, protein and vitamins A, B and C, resulting in an incredibly dynamic, superfood-enriched protein powder that will help boost and strengthen your body.” My cyclist husband was trying to steal this away from me, but I used the protein powder in water and the taste was fine- similar to most other plant based protein powders but a tad sweeter.
Justin’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (2-cup pack) - Value $2.49 (buy a 12 pack for $23.88 or a 72 pack for $136.28 on Justin's)
I like Justin’s peanut butter but add some organic dark chocolate to the outside and it’s even better. These are like the grown-up organic foodie version of the “other” peanut butter cup. These are yummy!
Carefull Candles Awaken (Coffee & Vanilla Bean) Soy Candle - Value $3?
This is the first candle I’ve received in a lifestyle box so I’m happy (and a bit surprised too!) The smell of the candle is strong coffee but I’ve been burning it for about 30 minutes now this smell isn’t overwhelming. Plus, the candle is soy which is great. I get headaches from the other types. The candle I received looks smaller than the coffee + vanilla bean candle listed on Carefull Candles Etsy site, so I have linked to a similar-sized candle.
I Heart Keenwah Quinoa Puffs, Herbes de Provence - $3.50
I like Quinoa and we use Herbes de Provence on our chicken but this was not my favorite blend. I may have liked them more if it was puffed corn but who knows? I like the ingredient list of these though - simple and recognizable.
Verdict: Yet another fabulous month for Wellness Tribe! I’m always happy with this subscription. The boxes are full of new and interesting products and I feel good using the brands they include due to the use of natural ingredients and ethical, environmental and community business practices. Each month I look forward to receiving this box and I’m almost never let down. I love that the Lyeska eye cream covered the entire cost of the box. This month’s box contained about $80 worth of great products for a $45.00 box (month to month subscription + shipping). The value is always great for me since I love the products they send.
