Exciting news! Starting today, you'll now be able to see subscriber ratings for boxes on all review, spoiler and coupon posts! (This information was previously only shown on the subscription box list directory.)

(This should be rolled out across the site within the next 30 minutes.)

Our goal has always been to give you all the information you need to find the best subscription boxes for you, so I hope this is a big help!

Thank you so much to MSA readers for this feature suggestion, and for all the comments/ratings/reviews on boxes that make MSA such a great subscription box resource!

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions! And make sure to rate boxes!

@liz- I general I like the ratings. But I have some questions, concerns:

1. What if we do not have experience canceling the box or contacting CS? I’m concerned that people will put in a score anyway. Can there be an instruction to skip questions you don’t have experience with or else a “n/a” box to check?

2. On a related note, do you have to fill out all questions or can you just do the ones that are relevant to you.

3. Can you please indicate how many people answered a question (or voted on a box) — an opinion of 500 people holds a lot more weight with me than an opinion of 7.

4. Is there any way to ensure people do not vote multiple times? Otherwise, what is to stop company staff from coming online and inflating their box’s ratings?

5. I think it would help if you would ( if you haven’t already) make a post that explains all of this – similar to the post you have on how boxes are reviewed. I think it would avoid a lot of confusion or misinterpretation of the information posted.

Thank you and all if MSA for continually working to improve the site for all of us!

I can answer a couple of these. You don’t have to fill out all ratings – so if you don’t have experience with CS or canceling, you can leave that blank.

A user can only vote on a box once.

We’ll look into a post about it and displaying how many people answered a question.

Thanks for the feedback!

Can you add a field for how many have contributed to the ratings?

Very cool! But I’m curious… Are the ratings cumulative over months/years and each person only reviews a certain subscription box once? Or is there a brand new rating poll for each box that comes out? (e.g. You can give a different rating for each month of PSMH, based on that month’s contents, shipping delays, etc.?) Thanks!

It is cumulative over the lifetime of the box. A user can review the box only once – but can update their ratings as many times as they’d like.

I like the new feature, thanks guys! It’s very helpful that we can update our ratings whenever we’d like because boxes sometimes do big dips both up and down in quality/value/etc.

Liz, I’ve been trying to rate the boxes that I receive using an iPad. After I put in the ratings, the pop up of the ratings just sits there and I have to get off the page to move on. Not sure that my ratings are entered or not. Not sure if this is operator error or a glitch.

I’ll take a look at this – sorry it’s not working for you!

This is a great idea! I also like how the ratings are not newly done, these have been around for awhile, so you get a good sense of the box.

You guys always do such a great job listening to feedback. Thanks for this!

Where do we go to rate boxes?

Liz Cadman

You can rate boxes in the subscription box directory: https://boxes.mysubscriptionaddiction.com

And now on any of the posts you see the ratings box, you can click through that post to add your rating, too.

Hope that helps!
