This month’s brushes are from the Rose Gold Collection.
R10 Deluxe Tapered Powder - Value $14.99
This goat hair tapered powder brush can be used to add dimension to my complexion with bronzer and to add setting powder under my eye or face.
R40 Deluxe Pointed Blender - Value $5.99
This goat hair pointed blender brush is great for adding eyeshadow to my crease, go in a windshield motion while applying the shadow to achieve a precise blend. Its tapered point makes for an effortless application. This also can be used to highlight my cupids bow, nose, and inner eye.
R8 Pro Flat Contour - Value $11.99
Festival season is upon us and what better way to get festival ready than accentuating your collarbones and shoulders. LiveGlam suggests applying a cream highlighter to your collarbones and shoulders and apply a glittery powder on top for an added pop. This is also great for a chiseled contour along my nose or cheekbones. This flat contoured brush has goat’s hair.
Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Friyay (retail value $20.00)
I was able to redeem 800 points for this lip paint by Tart Cosmetics. I earn 100 points each month being a Morpheme member. I went to the rewards section on my account page and there’s a list of reward options to choose from. I chose the color friyay (purple fuchsia), a matte lip paint. I’m slowly enjoying the staying power of a matte lipstick and decided to try this product/brand out.
From Tart Cosmetics:
Product performance: Create full coverage lip looks with this lightweight, liquid-to-matte lip paint. It dries down instantly with no transferring & the comfortflex formula means it moves with your lips without drying them out, cracking or feathering. With the easy applicator wand, you can line & shade lips with high-impact, opaque matte color in a range of nude & bold shades powered by concentrated mineral pigments for all-day vibrancy & comfortable wear.
Before.
After.
Here I am wearing the matte lip paint in friyay (I added Pat McGrath’s Gold 002 pigment to my lips) and my makeup look using this month’s brushes. It was an easy application and I love how the R8 flat contour brush worked to contour my cheekbones.
Verdict: I enjoy receiving the MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club! I’m slowly learning and having fun using my monthly brushes. This month’s brushes have a value of about $33, which meets the $30 promised value and is good for the $19.99 monthly cost. It may seem excessive to have so many brushes, but if you are dedicated to your makeup ritual it’s good to switch out your brushes often and have a variety on hand.
