I used the 50% Off for March to try them out and also wanted to get the Tarte BB Cream full size. I emailed them saying March was stuck in “Pack” and just wanted to know if there was a glitch or problem. No email back, not even automated. So I tried twitter and instagram but I was ignored as well. I emailed again as I’ve been charged for April (which I did not mind) and asked I haven’t been even updated about my March Box and wanted to make sure March is getting processed. I got auto reply that it will take 5-7 days for a reply. No reply after a week so I decided to cancel if I’m not ever getting any help, I tried to give them a chance. I did it online so it was automatic cancellation.

Email reply came 19 days later saying they will check with their shipping department.

Few days later I received a shipping update for March. A day after for April.

???

Not going to resubscribe…

They were almost like little lace box when it came to customer service… and we all know what happened…

Sorry. Email came 14 days later when they said reply will take 1-5 days. Still took longer than normal.

Yes, they get you to commit to 2 boxes with these offers. That said, it’s a subscription service and the plan is for you to receive more than one box. Even if you only get 2, this box is generally a good one and a great value for about $15 each. However, the April box has been my least favorite but I loved March.

i get that their goal is to make you a long-time subscriber, but if you try it and you’re unhappy, you’re still on the hook for a full-priced box before you can cancel.

i just think they should make that clear at checkout instead of burying it in the fine print.

Just a heads up: You are automatically buying next month’s box if you use the 50% offer this month. Per their FAQs:

All renewal charges take place on the 1st of the month. The cancellation request will take effect only if submitted prior to the 15th of the month that your existing subscription plan is due to renew. (e.g. you must cancel by February 15 if you want to stop your March 1 renewal order).

In order to not be charged for next month’s box, you’d have to cancel by the 15th of this month (which already came and went). That’s why all of their discounts and promos happen AFTER the 15th, because when you commit to buying this month, you’re already too late to cancel for next month if you were looking to only get one box. They got me for an additional box I didn’t want this way. They should make it clear you’re buying two boxes whether you like it or not, not bury it in the fine print.

Ya know, I’ve always had a good experience with Glossybox. I did email customer service a couple times. I received an automated reply that they were busier than usual and would get back to me in 3 to 5 days, & they wrote back on day 5. I actually have no complaints; well, to be fair, I have received two boxes to date–I’m new.

*****WARNING TO THOSE THINKING OF JOINING GLOSSYBOX********

Their customer service is horrible, you can never reach them by phone it asks that you leave a message and they will call you in 3-5 days. (It’s been 14 days and no call back to me)
Email takes 2-3 days and no one could understand or help me in Chat.

I used the 50% off coupon March 31st for what I thought would be the April box but was told new subscribers who subscribe within the first week of the month month get the previous months box and that month. So I subscribed on March 31st but it showed as April 1st on their records so they charged me $10.50 because I had the 50% off coupon and when I used the Chat method with customer service to ask a question they said your March box will ship soon and we will be charging you for April soon😝 I told them I waited until March 31st so I would get Aprils box she said I had no choice. In my “dashboard it had a check mark in the paid part but a few days later there was nothing on that page so I emailed them. They were telling me I never paid. I explained the coupon and what I charged I even emailed them a pic of the coupon from MSA and pic plus reference number from bank and that I chatted with someone a few days earlier and my payment showed then. Well it took 20 days to get it straightened out and convince them I had paid through their system which I think is crazy!!!!!!

Needless to say I cancelled my subscription and told my credit card not to process another payment to them.

This next part is the best though…..

I cancelled about April 6th and they are telling me I have to pay through June because you have to give a 3 month cancelation notice even though I signed up for the month to month. Honestly I did not see that anywhere when I signed up so read the fine print. I’m not paying my father and brother are lawyers and said they will blow them out of the water on this one if need be so I’m lucky.

Good luck if you choose to subscribe. There are too many good boxes out there for me to pay these people.

BOXYCHARM is great if your looking for full size products 😊

I always found their CS to be lacking, but always got responses if I messaged them on FB, never on email. They did send replacement items though too. I had GB for like a year when it was $8/box and it was even too much then. I swapped nearly everything from the boxes, hence I’ll never sub again. But I did love their LE Rituals box!

I e-mailed them with a question last Friday morning and still haven’t received a response. I tried calling the 800 number before e-mailing and I wasn’t even given the option of leaving a message. I’m beginning to wonder if Glossybox is in a death spiral. I don’t remember seeing so many %-off deals so prominently advertised and so frequently offered in the past.

I emailed them with a question well over 2 weeks ago…no response, and it was a general question…..no issue with subscription or problem type question. I have cancelled before online and had no issues , i just think their CS needs some work.

Regina

I have subscribed and canceled a few times, and have never had a problem. Make sure to read fine print of ALL subscriptions before subscribing, so you are aware of that particular subscriptions rules.

I have also subscribed and canceled with no problems. I loved this subscription but can’t afford it right now:(

Dana

Oh dear. Wasn’t sure before I read this, but definitely not subscribing now!

Well thats terrible. Im sorry to hear what you are going through. I signed up on March 30th with the 50% off for that month, and was aware that id be charged full price for April. I cancelled on the 13th of April with no problem. My account now says no active subscription. I hope they dont go and try to charge me again.

I used the 25% off code for 3 months sub and cancelled online no problem. I wonder why they did that. That’s awful. I’ve had only good luck with glossybox. That was the second time I’ve subbed and cancelled. My boxes have always been decent for the price too. I don’t doubt everyone has issues with each and every box at times though.
