I wish ipsy would throw a few points to the people that bought “ipsy offers” too. I do not know people to invite to ipsy, and I always review, but I also buy a decent amount of their deals too I wish I could get points for. ..I do not mind only getting items one time a year for points, but would be nice to get a few extra without having to get people to sign up

Listen. For everyone that sits and complains about Ipsy’s points system:
1) They have ALWAYS had a range of point prices. I could understand the complaints about how high these items are if they’d had things at 1000 points for the last month or something, but this is literally ONE update (one of 2 this week, btw). And considering the fact that half the complainers on Ipsy’s page were crying because they’d saved up so many points and couldn’t use any of them .. well, there you go. Ipsy catered to those who had higher point levels. Again, in this one update.
2) Points have ALWAYS been limited in quantity. People are going way overboard with saying this system is unfair. It’s not. There are ways to be notified of new rewards items being added. It is impossible for Ipsy to have enough inventory for every single subscriber each time they update. I’m sick of people complaining about this. “Well they should have more, enough for everyone ..” That’s not how it works.
3) I hear/see people who see they check all day, every day. You don’t need to. They update points between 5-6pm EST. So if you’re going to check, do it late afternoon/early evening. Waiting until morning means there’s a risk of the items being sold out.

Listen. For those who are tired of hearng people complain
1. Not everyone has a schedule that allows for them to check their notifications during the day.
2. Silly me, I sleep during the day and into the evening so I can head off to work my night shift job. In the morning is the only time I have to get online.
3. Thanks for understanding how those of us who can NEVER get anything might be frustrated.
I’m sick of the lack of compassion coming from so many hateful, condescending people these days.

That is too many points! also points expire too… so it’s hard to accumulate so many

I’ve had ipsy for 4 years now. When I started there were a range of rewards 250-1600 points (mostly 750 points and higher). Everyone was complaining the rewards were too high. So they lowered them. Then they were selling out too quick. Points are meant to save for something you really want. Everyone who’s complaining that they can’t redeem points every month-you’re not supposed to. I do understand why people are upset about not redeeming points, but others need to understand you can’t redeem products every single time they come out. It’s really hard to please everyone, especially when you have limited quantity of products. Just know, every reward is. It going to be 100-300 points.

This is great for those who saved their points….but even then, this seems way too high. Guess I’ll save my points again.

I have over 800 and finally made it in time to grab something and they’re all over 1000. Grrr, I swear you have to get to them within 5 minutes to grab anything under 1000 points.

Really killing myself for not getting the full sized Hourglass Mood Light a few weeks ago … and it was up forever! I just thought I didn’t like it, but retried a sample I had after it sold out and it turns out I adore it.

It’s great that they’re offering full-size rewards, but WOW. 1000+ points is a bit outrageous. I know that earning points is free, but it takes so long to earn them that most people likely don’t have 1000- I certainly don’t.
Ipsy really needs to reevaluate the cost of their point rewards. And before you say that raising the points keeps them from selling out faster…it actually doesn’t. They still sell out just as quickly.

Ikr! I’m so done with their points system. I emailed them about the unfairness and they told me all I could do is follow them on FB to get alerts. I don’t use FB and I know a lot of people who don’t use it either.

I agree, they need to think about how fast people earn them and calculate costs from that!
I think I have maybe 250 and I just joined a month ago but half of that was newbie points!
