This month featured only treats and toys - I was hoping for another Buckles fashion accessory!

The-Dapper-Dog-Box-March-2017-0004

They've added a better card for the monthly theme - March's theme was "A Day in the Park".

On the reverse side, you'll see information about the items in the box.

Buckles demanded access to the box!

Cycle Dog Trail Buddy Treats - Value $8

There were 4 treats this month - the first is a bag of treats from Cycle Dog.

These treats are 100% freeze-dried beef liver. They're manageable bite sizes - but are easy to break if you want to control the portion.

The-Dapper-Dog-March-2017-0032

Since these are light and crunchy, Buckles really loved them!

Rosie's PB & Banana Treats - Value $9.99

These treats are grain and gluten free - which is important for our dog, so I was happy to see that right away.

These treats are perfectly bite-sized for Buckles!

The-Dapper-Dog-March-2017-0031

These were his favorite treats of the month, and treats that he keeps begging for!

Puptato Chips - Value $6 on Amazon

The next treat is from PuppyCake. These are all-natural sweet potato dog chips!

Buckles always enjoys sweet potatoes when we're eating them, so I thought it was a no-brainer that he'd love them.

The-Dapper-Dog-March-2017-0033

This is about as close as he got to the chip. He rose up, and slumped back down - a hard miss!

The-Dapper-Dog-March-2017-0037

One treat miss would not deter him!

Bobby & Bambi Shamrock Cookie - Value $3

This is listed as a free gift on the card - so I'm not 100% sure if everyone got this. This cute little cookie is grain-free and all-natural.

I like that they timed this perfectly with St. Patrick's Day!

The-Dapper-Dog-March-2017-0035

Again - he really hesitated on this treat. But he did eat it, fearing that Andy or I would take it - he definitely enjoyed it in the end.

Petqwerks Newspaper Toy - Value $7 on Amazon

The first toy in the box was a soft and chewy newspaper.

The-Dapper-Dog-Box-March-2017-0023

The 'Doggone Times" actually looks like a rolled up newspaper - you could definitely put treats in the middle for a bit of a challenge. It has numerous squeakers throughout.

The-Dapper-Dog-March-2017-0038

Not Buckles' favorite toy since he prefers bite-size toys. But, Penelope is currently having a blast with this!

The-Dapper-Dog-Box-March-2017-0008

Cycle Dog Retreads Ball - Value $9 on Amazon

The final item in the box is a thicker rubber ball. It's made to float and has a squeaker inside - your dog will really have to work to squeak it!

The-Dapper-Dog-Box-March-2017-0009

This is too big for Buckles and not the type of toy that he plays with, so we'll be gifting this to another lucky dog.

Verdict: My values coming to around $40 of items in the box - so that's pretty good value for a dog box. I do wish they'd go back to including more dog attire like their name suggests - we really loved the first box we received more than any other since it came with a little bandana! More of that, please!

I discovered The Dapper Dog box about a year ago. I have been so happy with the selection for my bigger dog. The owner is very easy to communicate with and will modify the box if you let her know what works and what doesn’t. The scarf this winter was a thick blanket type that actually fit on my huge lab’s neck, high quality. Had a problem with some dog boxes that sent tiny stuffed toys just a bit bigger than his foot. Thanks, Liz, for including this on the list.
