Nerd Block Jr. has just recently started including information cards that list out the contents, and I am so pleased! Sometimes with the geek boxes, it's hard to tell what something is!
Nerd Block also included a $10 coupon for their new t-shirt shop, Shirtpunch.
Exclusive Shirtpunch! T-Shirt: Emoji - Value $15?
My kids were kind of ambivalent about this t-shirt, and I am so glad. This is my most hated emoji, and there's no way I would let my kids wear this anywhere. I get that it's a thing right now, but it's just not our thing.
Pokemon Socks - Value $3.40
These socks, on the other hand, are awesome! My nine-year-old loves them (and Pokemon, of course). They are a nice soft cotton blend.
Transformers Decal - Value $3.89
Do boys ever stop being Transformers fans? This is a solid white sticker, so my ten-year-old, of course, put it on his laptop. It's cute!
National Geographic Kids Magazine - Value $4.99 (single-issue price)
I guess NBJB is making National Geographic KIDS a regular inclusion, and I'm so glad! It's great, interesting reading with lots of fun activities!
Spiderman Tin With Necklace - Value $8.99
My boys love Spiderman, but not necklaces so much. This is a rubber pendant on a metal chain. They didn't care about the dog-tag style necklace, but the nine-year-old was happy to get the tin it came in!
The Avengers Pack of 5 Gel Pens - Value $7.49
They may only be pens, but my nine-year-old son was super excited to get colored pens. And Avengers, no less! He loves making art and comics, so these will definitely go to good use.
Emoji Blue Headphones - Value $12.99
This was definitely the hero item of the box! I gave them to my nine-year-old and he smiled so huge and exclaimed, "Beats!" Which made me laugh but also kind of broke my heart. Being a mom is weird sometimes. Anyway, they get great sound I'm told, and they are perfect for gaming!
SPOILER ALERT!
We also received this card with some spoilers for our March box!
Verdict: My sons love Nerd Block Jr. for Boys! This month was a mix of hits and misses, but that's pretty typical, I think. I think I was the only one who was bummed about the tee, but I'm still not letting them wear it. The headphones were such an amazing surprise! The value this month adds up to about $57, which is awesome for a $20 box!
