Mindfulness Box for Kids is a subscription box from Mindfulness Box for “children ages 3-12 that teaches mindfulness and promotes inner peace.” All kids (and adults) I know could use some of that! Mindfulness Box also has Adult and Family Pack subscription options.

Heather’s Happy Haikus Book - Value $11.00

The included description for this books reads:

This book is meant to ignite the divine spark of joy in each reader. Haiku poems are a style of Japanese poetry expressing a single feeling and embodying three lines of five, seven, and five syllables. At the end of the book, your child is invited to write their very own haiku!

This is a cute book but my daughter is just getting into reading, so I couldn’t really get her too thrilled about poetry yet. We’ll work on it, though!

Heather’s Happy Haikus Coloring Pages - Value $5.00?

I enjoyed coloring these with pages with my daughter as we discussed the various messages and how we could exhibit them in our lives. These are great conversation starters while still having fun!

(Mindfulness Box for Kids typically values their activities at about $10.00 so I split the value between the coloring pages and the self-love activities in this box.)

Self-Love + Mindfulness Activities by Sarah Canter - Value $5.00?

For this activity, you choose a three-digit number (for example 143) and then take part in the corresponding activities (affirmation, activities, and mindful habits). Line 1 for the 1st digit is the affirmation, “I am loving and loved”, line 4 for the 2nd digit is the self-love activity, “Laugh a lot!” and line 3 for the 3rd digit is “Enjoy every bite of your food.” This is a nice exercise but I think it is better for older kids than my 7-year-old. We talked about self-love and that was cool but I don’t really see her doing this activity every day.

Soul Candy stone by Amy Logan - Value $6.00?

I don’t typically like little trinkets but I think this is adorable. Cira saw this right away when we opened the package but I think this would be a sweet gift in an Easter basket or even put in a lunchbox.

Valentine’s Day Funny Foods Valentine and Bonus Sticker - Value $1.50?

Our package arrived way after Valentine’s Day but this little card is adorable and Cira loved that the donut inside is removable and usable as a sticker.

YumEarth Organic Lollipops (2) - Value $0.40

We love these organic lollipops and I usually buy them for my daughter. The taste is great and they don’t have any unknown ingredients in them.

The description card says TruJoy Organic Heart Shaped Lollipops but we received these YumEarth lollipops instead.

Verdict: Mindfulness Box for Kids is a great way to support practicing mindfulness at home with the little ones. It’s a struggle for me to practice mindfulness each day so I truly appreciate anything I can get to support that practice. I’m hoping my daughter will be better than I am due to us discussing and practicing it at a young age. The items in this box typically great conversations with my daughter and I’ve very pleased with that.

My estimated value of this box is about $29.00, which is equal to the monthly cost of this box. That being said, I don’t see this box as being about the value of the items but more about the curation of the activities and items together. While I’d prefer to pay under $25.00 for this box, I feel that for a month to month subscription with the inclusion of shipping, the price for this box is fair.
