Every month has a different theme, and March's theme was PRIMAL. It features franchises like Jurassic World, X-Men, Predator, and Overwatch!
This month's box turns into a T-Rex!
I love this shot of the Loot Crate team! Nicely done!
You'll get a booklet that will feature information around the month's theme and franchises.
You'll also find information on each item in the box.
Primal Pin - Value $5?
Every month, you’ll get a Loot Pin. It will be themed and grant you access to some digital loot!
This month's pin gets you issues #1 and #2 of Savage on Comixology!
Overwatch Primal Rage Shirt - Value $15?
This month's tee features Winston from Primal Rage! They used Overwatch's Winston graffiti tag from in the game! This is a great idea and an idea that would be perfect for Loot Gaming since they talked about pulling in-game elements into items.
Logan Metals Die-Cast Figure - Value $15-20?
How appropriate to display Wolverine as a 100% die-cast metal figure!
There are 3 variants of this figure - I received the basic Logan figure - but you could have received Old Man Logan or Raw Adamantium Logan. I was hoping for the Raw Adamantium variant since it reminds me of how Logan met his demise in the comics - but, it looks like these will be available in the vault sooner or later.
The back features a collection of my ideal lineup! I might have to get that Colossus figure...
Predator Bottle Opener - Value $10?
The Predator item is a 3-inch tall bottle opener. This comes in two variants - the 'Jungle Hunter' from the original Predator and Gort from Predator 2.
It's got a hollow back - I was hoping it was magnetized which it's not, but you can always glue a magnet to the back without changing the look too much.
Jurassic World Sign - Value $10?
The final item in the box is from Jurassic World.
This is a metal sign crafted from designs in Jurassic World. I can't help but love this franchise. I was very young when the first one came out, and I remember first seeing the T-Rex on the screen - it's a cinema moment I'll never forget!
It even came with some zip ties for hanging.
This month also continues the 'Secret Order of Keys' challenge. Looters who answered the questions correctly last month received a bonus 'Secret Order of Keys' pin this month - so I'm curious what the next prize will be.
Verdict: At $22, I still think Loot Crate is hard to beat. I think they're doing a good job at getting fun and exclusive items, but they really need to fix their shipping inconsistencies - it's ruining the experience for a lot of new subscribers. I'm not loving the new existence of variants within the box with the option to buy the others in the vault - I get that it's a business move, but it makes my items feel less special - I'm curious if this will be a common occurrence.
