This month’s fandom is Beauty and the Beast! It comes at the perfect time for the new live action movie coming out mid-March.

Belle and Beast Necklace

This piece transforms the iconic ballroom scene from Beauty and the Beast into a necklace. The pendant is about 1 inch wide while the chain is 16 inches long with a 2-inch extender. The necklace rests right under my collarbone. It’s a nice, simple piece that I wear with just about anything.

Red Rose Earrings

These are gorgeous stud earrings that pay homage to the Enchanted Rose in the Beast’s castle. Each rose is encircled by multiple white rhinestones that give it a more opulent flair. Since I don’t have piercings, these will be gifted to a lucky friend.

“Tale as old As Time” Bracelet

This is a dainty bar pendant bracelet designed by Kal-Elle and with the engraving “Tale as old As Time.” The simple design is totally me! I like that you can easily layer this with other arm candy for a more fabulous look.

Here’s a closeup of the engraving. I kind of wish the words were either all capitalized or all lower case, but that’s a minor grievance.

Coin Purse

This sequined coin purse measures about 3.5 by 3.75 inches. It features a metal double frame closure and a lined compartment. I adore the perfectly stitched gold sequins! The purse is well constructed overall. I will definitely use it to collect all the loose change hanging around the apartment.

Music Note Ring

This is a silver-toned ring with a treble clef design. As a music lover, this is perfect for me. Unfortunately, it fits like a 6.5 to 7, which makes it just a tad tight on the ring finger. I’ll pass this along to another musically-inclined friend.

Belle Magnet

This soft magnet features Belle in her blue dress and the phrase “I want adventure in the great wide somewhere!” The black text over an orange-brown background makes it a little difficult to read. Aside from that, it’s an adorable magnet that I’ll be putting on my fridge.

Beauty and the Beast Bookmark

This is a double-sided bookmark printed on card stock. The stained glass artwork of the enchanted rose is on one side while Belle and the Beast are on the other. It’s lovely!

Beauty and the Beast 4×6 Art Print

This month’s art print has the same characteristic paint splatter design as all Kal-Elle prints. It is inspired by the same ballroom scene as the necklace but with the addition of Mrs. Potts, Chip, and the Enchanted Rose in Belle’s hand.

Verdict: I love this month’s Kal-Elle Fandom Monthly for the curation and theme. The earrings and ring are my favorite pieces! I would have liked to see a bookmark made from a sturdier material, but it’s still a nice, practical item that I will use. There are 8 items total for a cost breakdown of $2.37 apiece (or $2.81 after shipping costs). This is a fantastic value considering the variety and quality of the items.

  1. The first thing I noticed when I saw the bracelet was the inconsistency with the capitalization of the letters. That would have bothered me! It would also have been nice to see a script-style font, which would have matched the tone of the quote a little better.

I forgot to skip this next month, so I’ll be receiving March’s Super Mario Brother’s box, which will probably all go up for swap, unless there ends up being a tee in it, which I doubt.

    • Amber, I also forgot to skip this next month but was able to contact Kal-elle via her facebook page and she pushed my shipment to next month. She provides great personalized customer service! I did this the same day I was charged (they send you an email), March 1, so it might not be possible for you any more but it’s worth a try.

Next month is Pirates of the Caribbean, which I’m beyond excited for!!!!

      • I’ve done it before too, a couple months ago, and I asked if she would send me the deadpool box, and she did. I agree, the customer service is great. But I felt it would be bad to make a request again, so I’ll take the loss.

      • Where did you see that next month is Pirates? The one after Super Mario? I want to make sure I skip it, I liked the first movie but I don’t like wearing pirate stuff!

      • Oh, you can skip the month on this one?

Do you always know the next month’s theme far enough, in advance, to have time to skip it before you’re billed?

I have really liked some of their themes but others, not so much.
This box would have been great for my daughter!

      • I haven’t tried to skip yet but I’ve seen other people post that she’s very nice about skipping.
