I subscribed the 6 month plan and after I hit pay, it suddenly charged extra $7.39 tax. Does it happen to anyone? I live in NY.

I’m in OH but I just went back and looked at my invoice in my account and was not charged sales tax. My total was $83.25 for 6 months….at least according to the invoice, I didn’t actually log in and check to see what my credit card was charged yet. Haha.

this is weird you guys… I got a package in the mail the other day from glossybox it wasn’t in a box but a bubble mailer. I got 3 things in it. I was sent a eyeshadow brush, teez lipstick, and a trust fund beauty nail polish. I’m not so sure how I was picked to receive it. But I’m guessing maybe they sent me that instead of the bonus item they said they were giving away when signing up for the subscription. I haven’t received my march bowls yet so I don’t know if I got the tarte in my sub box. I don’t know why they would send random items without explanation but hey, I’ll take them!

Check the products carefully for expiry dates as the lipstick is from a box from about a year ago.

If I remember correctly, they had a deal within the past month, I believe, where if you sign up for a subscription you were to get three bonus items. It sounds like they were shipped separately, as opposed to being included in your first box.

Ahhh! This site is killing me (and my wallet)! I was just feeling so proud of myself for cancelling 3 sub boxes, which included Glossybox, since my 3 month discounted price was over as of March. Yesterday I bit on Love Goodly and now this morning I’m signing back up for 6 months of Glossybox! I decided after 3 months that the $21 monthly price wouldn’t be worth it for me, especially since spoilers don’t seem to come out until after that month’s billing date. But I’d be ok with $14 a month…even if I have to get a duplicate March box (mine arrived in good condition). They sure know how to suck you back in….

So I know there are going to be people that complain that there was no *bonus* tarte item in their March box, and that everyone got it, but if you go back and read the post, nothing in their promo ad does it state that the tarte is a bonus. It says if you subscribe now for Feb box, they will ensure you receive a full-size tarte item in your March box. Seems like it was mistakenly assumed it would be a bonus for new subscribers.

You are very right! GB’s promo states it will “ensure” the Tarte item’s inclusion. The word “bonus” isn’t used. The assumption that the Tarte item was a “bonus” was an error on MSA’s part – the Feb 24 post about this promo calls it a “bonus” multiple times, including in the headline. We didn’t question it. Hopefully we’ll all be better readers next time around…

I got the Mary Kay volufirm deluxe set and it’s Great! Love the TARTE Sunscreen & the Emite Eye Light is my new fav, it’s amazing for brightening the eyes!!! Plus the value this month regardless of variation is OUTSTANDING!

The best deal was the one offered in November 2015 through Gilt City – $8.70 a box on a 12 month sub. The drawback of a deal that good is it ruins all other deals for you. 😳

I was really happy to receive the Mary Kay set too! I was expecting to receive only 3 items, but to get five was pretty cool. And, deluxe samples always last me a long time, so this will be a good way to see if I like them.
I ended up gifting the Emite eye product, but coincidentally I just started to use a primer from Emite that I received in a beauty box last year (I can only assume it was Glossybox), and I really like it! This seems like a decent brand to keep my eyes on. 🙂

Liz said further down in the comments that an expiration date for the code wasn’t given. And I had JUST cancelled my account last week and was able to use this code. I just followed the link above (click on WOMANCRUSH), entered my email address, they said they recognized my email and I logged in with my old password and the code stayed. So it looks like it’s not only for brand new subscribers!

Be aware that the March box has issues with the Catrice Rose eyeshadow pallette. Mine arrived broken and the darkest eyeshadow was all over the other products, and what a mess! If you receive one like I did, send pics to them and they will replace the pallette. It is a known issue at this time. It will take about 2 weeks for a replacement, but you must send pics.

I agree this months box was a mess. I don’t even want a replacement for the eyeshadow. I gave all of my box this month to my neighbor. I was very disappointed with this months box.

Irene, yep, my entire box was too messy to even bother to clean up, it went straight into the trash. Not thrilled with Glossybox right now. Glad you found a home for yours 🙂

I just got my final Glossy Box today and loved everything in it. And yes, the Tart sunscreen was in there, a nice full size too. The items in my box added up to be about $130.

Any idea how long this offer lasts?
I was thinking of cancelling my old sub at $21 and getting a new one, but I believe today was the last day to cancel for April so if I do this I will get duplicate March and April boxes which in the long run does not make sense.

Hi,
I just used the link above to sign up for 6 month plan on my existing e-mail account and it gave me the discount. It showed both the monthly and 6 month plan on my dashboard so j just cancelled the monthly. Looks like I’m getting a duplicate March box. It didn’t say I would be charged for an April box just a March box.

I’d bet you will get both duplicate boxes, I had a similar issue last time I signed up. Popsugar does the same thing so people end up with dupes. Just depends if you like either of the duplicate months products I suppose though.
I’m quite tempted by the $14 a month deal, that’s pretty awesome. It’s so not worth $21 a month to me, but $14? Yes, please. Just gotta see what’s in March box and if the deal is good thru Friday when I get paid. lol
