Gentleman’s Box is a monthly subscription box for men “providing the essential elements suited for today’s gentleman.”

The packaging on this box is really top notch – I love the wood-look box! Their website has other month’s box contents, and the value is recently consistently over $70.00.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Gentleman’s Box includes a small glossy pamphlet with all of the items you receive in the box detailed, as well as a profile of a featured member. This month the theme is “Our Favorite Legend.”

This month, they included a little fashion guide/style inspiration based on items from past boxes or the present box.

One thing to note, and I’m assuming it is because I receive a review box, is that I don’t get the monthly edition of GQ that is usually included. So that is an additional value that you won’t see in my reviews.

This month, The Gentleman’s Box included two samples of Harry’s Daily Face Wash and a coupon for Ivory Clasp, the women’s purse subscription box.

Gentlemen Essentials Tie – The Edison – Value $29.00

This tie is made from 100% cotton with navy and beige stripes on a red background. It feels a bit reminiscent of flannel. I feel like this would have been a great option for a fall or holiday box, but in February its almost on the edge of being out of season. Even still, the red does match the ‘month of love,’ so it’s not wholly out of place. It is a nice tie!

Sock Eden Socks – Listed Value $15.00

The Gentleman’s Box assigns a value of $15.00 to these socks. I cannot find a functioning website for Sock Eden, nor their distributor Ness Legwear, so I am going to go with their estimated price.

The socks are for shoe size 7-12 and are made of 80% cotton, 15% nylon, and 5% spandex. I do have to say that these feel a bit like cheap socks. The design is quite nice, though!

Gentlemen Essentials Pocket Square – Value $19.00

This 10″ pocket square has a matching border to the tie that was included in this box. The different striped patterns would look great together with a navy or beige suit as well. The pocket square is made from cotton and is a little sheer. This is a more casual pocket square so it looks really nice with the flannel tie.

Detriot Grooming Comb and Bottle Opener – Value $24.95

This comb is made from stainless steel and is made to function as a comb and a bottle opener. It is about 4″ long and would fit in your pocket (or wallet, depending on the size), nicely. I appreciate a tool that multi-tasks but something that has to do with hair and drinks doesn’t sit too well with my stomach. But I’m sure there are people out there that aren’t quite as picky as me that will love this.

Verdict: This box seemed a little on the light side but I’m not quite sure why. There were 4 items plus the daily face wash samples that come out to a value of about $88.00. I did not include the value of the coupon in the box value because you would have to spend money to redeem the coupon. With that said, I did think that this box was curated nicely and the items worked well with the theme!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!
