I signed up last month on the 28th I was supposed to get March’s box lol….. Im still waiting for it…. I emailed them about 10 days ago it says they want 3 to 5 days to respond i still have no response!! Im ready to cancel they charged me a month ago and if i cancel Ill still be charged for Aprils box! I am waiting to see if they charged me for Febs box because of me signing up in Feb if so Im gonna be super pissed because that will be 3 charges and no boxes!! I got an email like 3 weeks ago saying they are going to be shipping and i would get an email when they shipped and they ship the 3rd week of the month lol…nothing… and my profile says packing its said packing forever lol like they need to get it together I know if theres no change Im calling Monday morning!! heck with email!! I subscribe to Ipsy,Birch boc,BB5,Allure,Sephora,lip monthly,and my fav Boxycharm, and never had this problem!!… does anyone have any recommendations??

I read that glossy box ships out every 3rd week of the month.. That probably y it would come in late

They give you the 50 percent off the box because its a promo to sign up n be a continued customer. Its a great deal! N 21 dollars for April is still a great deal.. N everyone is trying to cheat them by subscribing for this box then cancelling right away.. I think that’s kind of messed up. Give them a chance.. Seems like some great products

I do agree that most people order then cancel. Personally that wasn’t my intention, but I do think that they should make it clear that you will have to sign up for both boxes, or at least make the payment schedule clear on their site. If they are trying to get rid of extra boxes then just offer a one time purchase, but by hiding the payment/cancellation policy in FAQ it makes people feel “cheated”. I like Glossybox and had already checked out the spoilers for next month before ordering on the off chance that this would happen, LoL…

I ordered this today and was able to get the rituals box 50% off too. I had glossydots saved from when I had subcribed before so my April box will ship free next month. I think it came to 32 dollars all together.

I ordered glossybox march 1. Today is march 29. The box has not even shipped. I am not a fan of glossybox. I ordered the box for the tarte sunscreen which expires in June ladies. I went away this past weekend hoping I could use this tarte sunscreen but nope.:/ I wish they wouldn’t take so long. I am going away next week I hope it gets here for that trip.

I just double checked and whoever signed up for this special will be charged the $10.50 for this (March) box plus the $21.00 for April’s box. If you want to cancel then you need to do so before April 14 or you’ll be charged for May. I think this should have been made clear when ordering but I guess it’s my fault for not reading all the info prior to signing up.

Not really interested in trial-ing MaryKay products. So that leaves one Tarte product that I would like, so I will pass. There were some not so great reviews last month

I got this. A full size tarte item and only paying $10.50? You can’t beat that. I cancelled immediately for the future, though. I’m not a big fan of this sub, but couldn’t go wrong with this one time deal.

i guarantee you that you will be paying $10.50 for this box and $21 for the april box. there is no “only buying the 10.50 box”. you agree to this policy when you sign up.

If you cancel after the 14th or 15th (?) of the month they will charge you for the next month’s box.

However I don’t think you can cancel before March box is shipped, and you may run the risk of being charged full price for the April’s box. I ordered on March 14th and my March box hasn’t been shipped yet.
I find this one time 50% off deal from subscription companies quite sneaky. They know it is close to the billing date and they won’t ship out the discounted box soon enough so by default, we customers will be charged full price for the subsequent box. I learned it the hard way from Box of Style, so just put it out here.

Here’s what Glossybox has on their FAQs…
NOTE: If you choose to subscribe to a recurring Monthly Plan between the 15th to the end of the month, you automatically agree to following month’s charge.
The word “following” is key…
I like Glossybox for the most part, but my goodness, definitely some shady business practices. Offering a discount on a month without being upfront that you’ll be charged an additional $21 without being able to cancel is borderline fraud. Hence why their FAQs are full of note this, note that, but generally vague enough that they can choose an interpretation that suits them.
(I also noticed there’s another Marie on this board! Very rarely do I meet people with my name that it’s always easy to make it my username. But don’t want anyone to get mixed up if people are still reading by this point!)

I do always cancel my subs before they ship though. I still always get the box that is coming out for the month that I ordered even though I cancel before the box ships.

That is probably true in this instance as well. They will most likely be charging for April as well, I just can’t 100% confirm.

If you sign up and cancel immediately, will they ship the one box (the Mary Kay one) for the discount, then not bill you for a 2nd one? Can anyone confirm?
I ask because I’ve seen replies on other Glossybox posts where people say they have been charged for 2 boxes before ever receiving the first, and about it being difficult to cancel depending on the date.

I had to pay for a second box when I tried to cancel the first month. the first box turned out awesome but the second month was horrible. I did get my money’s worth, I think, paying for two months and only getting one great month but I’d never sub to glossybox again for that reason.

I read up on their cancellation policy and it says if you cancel before the 14th of the month you won’t be charged for the next month’s billing.

Thank you Marleen. I was just going to call in the morning and ask customer service when they would bill for April’s box if I decide to continue the Subscription. As it is now, I get Boxycharm, Ipsy, Birchbox, Sugarbash (bimonthly), and I just signed up for Lip Monthly Because it was only 5$….Plus I get both the Walmart boxes…My Husband said I need to stop the sub boxes for a few months and add another bathroom because we can’t fit all of my stuff in there….Lol!!
