An info card was included listing each item in the box. January’s theme was Puppy Love!
Pig the Pug by Aaron Blabey - Value $11.15 on Amazon (retail price $14.99)
Laugh out loud funny! This book cracked us all up. The illustrations are funny and the ending was fantastic. Pig the Pug doesn’t like to share his toys with Trevor the wiener dog who lives in the same house. Pig learns his lesson painfully when he stacks his toys in a high pile to keep them away from Trevor and then suffers a terrible fall from atop the pile. This is a book that begs to read again and again and I will do so obligingly.
Oogaa Silicone Bowl and Lid - Total Value $12.99
This silicone children’s bowl is made from European-approved food-safe silicone. It’s dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe. The lid slips easily over the lip of the bowl. I like that the bowl is unbreakable, brightly colored and can be washed in the dishwasher.
Chex Muddy Buddies - Value $2.98
The Chex Muddy Buddies in Cookies and Cream flavor were crispy and very sweet. We all tried a few, but nobody was going back for seconds.
Nerfect Pug Pack Pillow - Value $8.00
I can’t even handle the creativity and amazingness that is these Blind Bag Pug Pillows! I’m so thrilled with the Pug we received. It’s reminiscent of a Hawaiin hula girl. There are about 10 others I’d love to own as I perused the Pug Pack catalog. These small pillows are printed on cotton canvas and are stuffed with polyester fibers. LitJoy Crate frequently introduces me to interesting Etsy shops and I love that.
Mrs. Calls Chocolate Caramel Pretzels – Value $1.50
These caramel and chocolate covered pretzels tasted fabulous. Crunchy, chewy, salty and sweet, I think they were the perfect treat.
Pug Themed Valentines - Value $3.00
My daughter loves all things “dog” and was thrilled with these pug Valentine’s cards. There weren’t enough for her whole class so we will be saving these for her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. So cute!
Pug Love Stickers - Value $4.00
These pug stickers are absolutely adorable. They can be found at the Lee Street Planners Etsy shop among a host of other stickers and planner accessories.
Suckers and Stamps - $1.00?
Two cherry flavored heart suckers and two stamps meant no fighting over the special treats for my son and daughter.
Pig the Pug Poster – bonus gift
This poster will be perfect to hang up in my library at school!
Verdict: What a great box and theme to kick off 2017! The book was fabulous and I loved the Pug Pillow, stickers, pretzels and bowl too. It was a complete home run this month. The value was over $44 this month which I’m very happy with. We love seeing this blue box arrive in the mail!
