I saw on Instagram a complete March box. It had this Tarte sunscreen, a Catrice mini eyeshadow palette in mauve, Emite Makeup under eye concealer, Figs and Rouge primer, Incoco nail wraps, and a bunch of tiny Mary Kay skincare samples.
I’m so glad I let this sub lapse. I like Tarte well enough, but the rest of this box’s contents are terminally dull. Nothing “luxury” or up-and-coming “niche.” I mean, Mary Kay, really?

Are we already at the sunscreen-in-every-box time of year again?
That said – I’d like to try this one. 🙂

I got that too, Donna. Maybe the offer was only good till the end of February. I seem to remember them having this deal before, so maybe they’ll have it again soon. Fingers crossed!

I will be swapping this not interested at all. Hope the rest of the box is better. I am really about done with this subscription. It’s no fun anymore, no excitement, in my opinion.

I have been getting this box for about 1 year and I love it. I don’t always love every item in every box. But, isn’t a sub box supposed to be about trying new items and new brands. If I receive an item that isn’t right for me then I put it aside and gift it to someone that I know would enjoy it. I was able to make a few gift boxes at Christmas with item’s from GB, IPSY and SP. My friends loved them. I didn’t sign up having the expectation that I was always going to get all full size, well known “luxury” brands. For the $21 monthly cost, I definitely get my money back every month and I have found some Fantastic products. It would be impossible to please everyone, every month. I have had Ipsy (cancelled) and Sephora Play. GB is my favorite. I have reached out to GB through Instagram and email on two occasions. In both instances they replied right away. USPS lost one of my boxes and when I emailed GB, they sent out a replacement right away. I ended up receiving the initial box a week or so later and when I contacted GB to let them know, they told me I could keep it. I once received a lipstick that had hit the top of the tube and therefore, was a bit chipped at the top but, I chose not to contact them about it. It wasn’t that big of a deal. I was still able to use it. Aside from that, all my boxes have arrived perfect. I personally am very pleased with this subscription and would and do recommend it to friends and family. I am also very happy to be receiving the full size Tarte SPF 30.

I’m seriously on beauty product overload. I wish I could skip boxes on play, glossybox and all of the others. Does anyone know a good beauty box where you can skip a month??
Reply
Mandi
You can skip allure and Julep. Julep also sends out that huge box of 12 free polishes so it’s worth it even if you only sub for 1 month, since it’s $24. I’ve cancelled sephora play like 3 times and I always just resub when this website says it’s open, sign up for the email alert if you unsub for a month or two so you’ll make it in.

The fortune cookie soap of the month club lets you and it’s an AMAZING value. They are my fav, not just for this new sub box but for quarterly season soap boxes that are sample sizes ( and themed, usually pop culture) the seasonal soap boxes you can’t skip but must cancel but the new Fortune Cookie Soap of the Month Monthly Box you can. There’s a code for free shipping for your first box too. Last months did sell out, and next box (April) that’s available to pre-order is “shower” theme. They are blind boxes but they are amazing! They also have a Preorder Sale for Easter Box and a restock coming up for the Be Our Guest Spring Collection.

You can skip with Julep. I just started and plan to skip my 2nd box.

None of the inexpensive beauty boxes allow you to skip that I’m aware of? Some of them you can cancel & then sign up again after spoilers but even that hasn’t been working as well – for example Boxycharm has a waitlist now so you can’t do that like you used to… others it’s too late to get that month by the time you can see what’s in it.
Pearlesque Box ($40 organic/natural skincare) is great about letting you skip – even sending a reminder shortly before they take the payment out of your account in case you wanted to skip but forgot. I wish all boxes worked this way!!

Wow, thank you for the info. Maybe I will cancel all of my cheap boxes and get that box. I don’t need much at the time anyhow and would probably actually save money with the skip option! 😉

I just canceled Sephora Play to give glossybox a try. Wonder what size the Tarte sunscreen will be coming in.

I feel very manipulated. I signed up with the coupon code for the tarte item and was under the impression it was an extra- and that’s why there was a coupon code. I’m going to reach out to customer service because there were other glossybox deals I could have used, like the 15.99$ rate

My response from customer service.
So sorry for any confusion!
The promo code TARTETREAT ensured for you to receive the Tarte product. The Tarte product was only guaranteed to long-time subscribers that have remained active, being that we only have a limited amount. We wanted to give new subscribers the opportunity to also receive the great product, we asked for them to subscribe using the promotion code!
Liz, you might want to update to reflect this isn’t a guaranteed item.

Ditto! I was led to believe I would be getting this as an extra if I signed up before the end of FEB. >:(

I’m hoping the bonus tarte item is something else but idk. I’ve never had glossybox, wanted the Feb box for the perfume and nail treatment, so I signed up with the tarte coupon thinking that would make it worth having for a second month, and they weren’t even very clear about if I’m actually getting the February box.

How do you cancel? I haven’t been able to find the option on the site and this is a pretty crappy introduction to them
Addy
I did too! I was going to do the 3 month for $15.99 and chose to go with the Tarte deal. Would you please update with what their response is? I’m sure there are many who did the same. I had left Glossybox, but thought I would give them a second try, just to have this happen. They are not to be trusted 🙁 Unsubcribing.

Argh. Time to cancel. I am not of fan of spring/summer boxes because they all have sunscreen and beachy hair products which I do not use.

I tend to agree. I still have a deluxe sample of this from sephora from last year.

Does this spoiler mean this is a guaranteed item? I know there was a coupon a week or so ago to get a Tarte item added (?) to your March box. I’m about to sign up but I want to guarantee I get this Tarte item!
