FabFitFun is letting MSA readers know first about this new feature starting with the Spring 2017 Box!
Introducing Choice
All of our members will get the opportunity to choose one item in their spring box. To make sure we keep the box a surprise, we'll only reveal the brand name of the Choice items so that you can unveil everything once your Spring Box arrives at your doorstep! This season, you'll be able to choose from two jewelry items.
Stay tuned for more specific details on which brands you'll be able to choose from, along with timing of when Choice will launch!
FYI - this is separate from FabFitFun Select - where annual subscribers get to pick their variants for the spoilers.

I’m thinking of changing mine to an annual before I get charge for the next box. Is there any good deals on an annual subscription, currently?

Hey Liz,
I also got an email today about a bunch of new add-on items that were just released today that people might want to know about. Included, among other things, are the option to purchase another spring box, a couple of new T shirt & Jeans totes, and that DL & Co Candle in Bergamot woods.

I’ve been waiting for the announcement of the spring box, to subscribe. There have been several special offers for the Editor’s Box. So if I subscribe now, I will definitely get the Spring Box, right?

Hi Dharshi,
I think you’d still get the editor’s box if you signed up now. Here’s what I heard from them yesterday:
“Thanks for writing in! You can sign up with us in late February or in March for you to be set to receive the Spring box as your first box! Let me know if there’s anything else that I can help you with. Have a lovely day!”
I’ve heard that 5pm on the 21st is when it goes on sale. Hope this helps!

On February 21st?

Thanks Sarah. That was exactly the information I needed.

In case anyone is confused, it says right here in Liz’s post: “FYI – this is SEPARATE from FabFitFun Select – where annual subscribers get to pick their variants for the spoilers.”
In other words, if you are a seasonal subscriber, you will have ONE choice between brands, but you won’t know what you’re getting within those brands. Annual subscribers will have TWO separate choices.
It’s a win for everyone! No one is losing.

I’m happy that I decided to go with the annual subscription starting with this box, otherwise I wouldn’t be happy either, but hey that’s the perks and I understand it and that’s why I went with the annual, as well as earlier access to add ons.

I just upgraded to select as well. I prefer not to be billed every 3 months plus you save a little over the price of seasonal billing. I was on the fence when I signed up with the 50% off coupon but I figured if they are charging me $49.99 in a few week anyway I would be better off upgrading now.

Where did you get a 50% off coupon??

This makes sense if the choice is between a ring and earrings. I don’t wear rings, but I know there are ladies who do and don’t wear earrings. I’m hoping for earrings, seems we get plenty of necklaces and bracelets.

We will probably never see earrings or rings in these boxes because not everyone has pierced ears and rings come in very specific sizes, not one size fits most. That’s why they stick to necklaces and bracelets.

Or silver vs gold seems to be a big one. I’d want to know what both the choices are though because I will pick whichever is most appealing and sometimes the style I’d be least likely to pick if you described it is actually the one I’d buy from a picture.

I’m an annual subscriber and love that I get to select some of the items. This is a nice little bonus for those that aren’t annual members. I think FFF goes out of their way to make their customers happy. By far my favorite sub. Keep up the great work FFF!

I like this. we can choose between brands and choose the one that tends to be more our style.

If I read correctly this will be open to all, the Select Scent and Color choices are not impacted. You will be given the brand name of the item (i.e. Gorjana) and you will be able to choose between two things (i.e. ring or necklace).

Yes, that’s correct. Thanks, Susan!

I like the surprise and that they are trying to do something nice for non-select members…. But you start changing things that have been the same for years can back fire I think but who knows…

When do select members make their choices?

Linda
the 21st or 22nd

I’m intrigued. Curious how this goes.

I don’t think I like this, if I understand it correctly. Color & scent preferences (like being able to choose gold or silver jewelry) are far more important to me than brand names.

Emily
This is separate from the annual subscriber selection- you’ll be able to choose between two brands and additionally still choose color/scent for whichever you pick or with a different item. 🙂

Ah, this makes more sense now, thanks!
(And that’ll teach me to post reactionary comments on the Internet when I’ve skipped breakfast & not made it to lunch yet!)

Cool, I am brand new to this box so still figuring out how it all works. If I end up liking my box I’ll sign up for annual membership to save $ and have more choice selections. Thanks!
Linda
please don’t take this wrong, I don’t mean it to be snippy. But as a select member (annual) member this is one of our perks. I understand you wanting to pick colors and scents, but that is why I opted to do the annual membership instead of seasonal.

I feel the same way as Linda. I decided to be a select member after getting the green planner and tangerine lotion. Now I feel like I didn’t have to pay upfront for choices. I understand that there is a $20. saving, but it was not the money for me, it was the choice. Please know I am not trying to be mean, it’s just my thoughts. I’m happy everyone can pick, I just wish I didn’t have to pay for a year upfront to get the same thing.
Kc
Yeah I’d rather see the products that I can choose between.

You do have the option to upgrade to annual to receive the perk of being able to see and choose the item you want. I think it’s nice they’re trying to give their regular subscribers a choice of brands but still allowing the annual members to continue with one of the big perks that encourages signing up for a yearly subscription. Honestly, if they opened that perk to everyone, I wouldn’t bother with a yearly subscription… and I think they know they would lose a lot of yearly subscribers by doing so.
Whitney
Me too! I just emailed customer service to say this.
