Bookroo-January-2017-Wrapped

I love that Bookroo sends the books individually wrapped each month. It’s a special touch that’s appreciated.

I also like that Bookroo includes an information card in their boxes with a summary of each book.

The Adventurers by Rachel Elliott - Value $15.99?

I adored the vibrant illustrations in this book. A little girl with a vivid imagination travels around the world having adventures with her toys. There isn’t much in the text that makes this book memorable, but the pictures are a delight. This book is no longer available for sale and there is no book jacket with a price so I’ve estimated the value based on similar items.

Ike’s Incredible Ink by Brianne Farley - $14.75 on Amazon (retails price $16.99)

What a creative book about the frustrations of writing, the reality of procrastination and the sources of inspiration lurking where you least expect to find them. Ike wants to write a story as fabulous as the ones he has read. But he’s stumped and so he gets distracted with the idea that first, he must create his own special ink with which to write. The hunt for ink eventually becomes the bones of his story. Quirky illustrations add to the appeal. A real winner!

Verdict: The estimated value of Bookroo this month is over $30 which I am very pleased with. I was delighted to discover Ike’s Incredible Ink and can’t wait to share it with my students at school. We love receiving Bookroo’s beautifully wrapped books each month.
