Nerd Block does not have a theme each month - but, you will know at least 3 of the franchises included in the box when it becomes available for sale.
Each delivery comes with an info card with a little more information on each of the items inside.
The block comes with a $10 voucher to the Nerd Block eStore - these will allow you to get a bonus shirt, or Funko POP, for the cost of shipping. Free to the first reader that uses it!
It looks like they are no longer including the $10 ShirtPunch voucher - but the inventory is pretty much the same since Nerd Block runs ShirtPunch.
The Decepticons Shirt - Value $15?
This month's shirt is the only item that is not Star Wars themed. It features the Transformers, more specifically the Deceptions. I like the design and color choice - overall, it's a pretty basic tee.
Darth Vader Mug - Value $15-20?
Everything from here on out is Star Wars themed - and one of the bigger hero products this month is a chrome Darth Vader mug.
Unlike the Daredevil mug in the November Comic Block, this isn't a tiny mug - it's a 16 oz mug!
Of course I want a Darth Vader mug, I'll end up using this one a lot - I like the chrome, but a lot of me wished it was a black chrome or even matte black. But that's just personal preference. Also - this is NOT dishwasher or microwave safe.
Rogue One Death Trooper Coin Bank - Value $15-20?
This exclusive bank was the item that Nerd Block marked as their hero item of the month.
It's a hard plastic, shaped like a Death Trooper mask - it's close to the same size as the Darth Vader mug as well.
You'll find the plug on the bottom when you're in need of your change.
Rogue One Coaster Set - Value $10-15?
You'll get a set of 4 coasters featuring the Dark Side of The Force!
Design-wise, I like them. But, I'm not sure how long these will hold up with frequent use. It looks like they are a think cardboard material - almost like an oversized pog - if anyone remembers what a pog was.
Rogue One Lanyard + Keychain - Value $5-10?
The final item is also from Rogue One.
You'll get a second Death Trooper item - in the form of this rubber keychain - to go along with an Empire-themed lanyard.
Verdict: This month was understandably heavy on Star Wars - but a bit more surprisingly heavy on The Empire from Star Wars. No good guys this month! Overall, I liked the two hero items, the mug and bank, but wasn't excited for a lanyard or the coasters. I think most people's opinion will be based on how much you liked or disliked the two big items this month.
