Glow in the Dark Spit Balls - Value $2.99

Cira loves these and can’t wait to use them. I, however, will wait until her father gets home to let her break them out. I have no idea what these are made out of but the back of the package has useful information, such as “Spit balls are great for: -Self Defense, -Target Practice, -Building Self Confidence, and –Spit Ball Tag.” Nice.

Teen Titans Go! Raven Backpack Clip - Value $2.99?

I couldn’t find this product online so the price listed is an estimate. We aren’t familiar with this character so this will be gifted.

National Geographic Kids Magazine - Value $4.99 (single issue)

We loved this magazine and would be happy to receive it every month from Nerd Block Jr! This month’s issue has articles such as, “Penguin City”, “30 Cool Things About Big Cats”, and “The Richest Pets of All Time”. It’s perfect for my 7-year-old daughter!

NERDBLOCKJR-January-2017-11LITE.jpg

My Little Pony Micro Lite - Value $3.50

This is so cute! Cira loves that it lights up and that she can play with it in her closet. Micro lite is the perfect name because it is just a tiny little light that comes out of the bottom of the toy. It comes ready to go but I don’t see a way to replace the battery so once the battery dies, this will only be a very small toy.

Care Bears ShirtPunch! T-shirt - Value $15.00?

I can never find these shirts on the ShirtPunch website so the $15.00 is an estimate. The saying on this shirt is so cute – “CARE Like A Bear” but this wasn’t Cira’s favorite shirt. We’ll be gifting this one.

Velvet Coloring Pack - Value $7.99?

We like anything art related so this velvet coloring pack is a car trip win! I wonder who originally thought that putting velvety feeling black paper around a design would make a cool kids art toy? Well, it works for kids and they look cool on the black background when colored, don’t you think?

Nerd Block is commissioning more products and this is one, so the price is a guess (based on similar Amazon products) but we’re happy with this.

NERDBLOCKJR-January-2017-17PATCH.jpg

Trolls Adhesive Patch - Value $1.00?

We saw the Trolls movie and liked it. This is a cute patch that Cira can put anywhere she wants. I could only find these wholesale (minimum 12) so I bumped up the price a bit from the website.

Oceans of Wonders Growing Animals - Value $2.99

Kids love this stuff! You just add water and watch the little plastic animals grow. The animals didn’t get as big as we hoped after being left in the water overnight. Cira took them out and played with them in the shower and they grew larger when exposed to more water.

Verdict: My daughter really looks forward to getting Nerd Block Junior for Girls each month. We are almost always happy with this box and the brand of toys are ones my daughter enjoys. While we love the inclusion of the t-shirt, I wish Nerd Block (and ShirtPunch) would separate the sizing by gender so it would fit better. The total value of the items on in this box is typically pretty high for this box. This month we received nearly $42.00 worth of toys for a $30.00 box which is lower than usual but Cira still enjoyed the items so I’m okay with that.

They ran out of size small shirts so my little girl got a boy’s Hulk shirt instead 🙁

I would be worried about children choking on those spit balls. Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Plus, I would generally not want to encourage children to launch spit balls at each other!
