Medusa's Lip Gloss in Space Kitten - Value $9

Medusas-makeup-vegan-beauty-box-january-2017-0008

This looks bold and super shimmery in the tube but in reality, it is just a hint of color and shimmer, with a good amount of shine. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Medusa's Mineral Eye Dust in Purple Rain - Value $7

This eye dust is a super fine loose eyeshadow powder with amazing pigment and shimmer. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Medusa's Makeup Mineral Glitter in Star Struck - Value $7

This glitter is gorgeous but will require glitter glue or a great primer to stay in place. Here it is swatched below the lip gloss and eye dust:

And lastly, we have a beauty item:

Medusa's Makeup 100% Maracuja Oil - Value $9

No fillers - just 100% maracuja oil! This is a tiny container, perfect for keeping in your purse. (I love using this type of oil for cuticles, dry skin, hair, etc.)

Verdict: This box has a value of $32. I think that's fantastic for a $15.95 beauty box that sends full-size vegan beauty products with free shipping. This is a great way to try out Medusa's Make-Up at a deep discount, and it's definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone! (And there are a lot of super wearable shades that I never would have picked out based on how the colors appear online, so that's a nice surprise!)

The white Stardust Glitter is something I would have picked for myself! If you put a little of the oil on your fingertip and then dip it in the glitter, you can easily apply the glitter without a primer or glitter glue. I think it lasted about half a day, and then I just did it again. Slides on easily this way, and doesn’t look ridiculously costumey.

I wish the lip gloss had a bigger tip on the applicator. You need to build it up to see any color and that tiny hard tip made this difficult.

They purple shadow was nice. I did touch it up when I reapplied the glitter. It wasn’t gone, but it was fading. Great color though.

Overall, I really like supporting this company (this was my 1st month) because they are cruelty free and they are an indie company. I hope they regularly introduce new products, or I could see this sub getting old fast, since all items are theirs and they only have so many offerings.

I get more & more interested in this sub every month I see the review I’m just undecided because of the colors.

I love my Medusas Makeup. I just wish the glosses had as bold a pigment as the shadows, eye dusts, and glitters. Sparkle on!

I know! The first time I tried the lipgloss I was SO surprised by how little pigment it had! Very different than every other product I’ve tried from them!
