LitJoy Crate Board Book Box Review + Coupon – December 2016

LitJoy Crate is a monthly literature and book subscription box for all ages! My favorite part about them is that they send new release books as well as book-themed items. They have crates for ages 0-2 (board books), 3-7 (picture books), and 14+ (young adult). You can also get a mixed crate with 0-2 and 3-7 together.

This review is of the Board, $29.99 box.

Baby Reindeer Finger Puppet Book – Value $6.99

This book has an interactive little finger puppet reindeer! This story is simple and about a young reindeer who goes along his adventures from playtime to bedtime.

Gideon giggles when I make the reindeer wiggle and talk. It’s cute!

Plush Penguin – Value $4?

This is a cute little plush penguin to go with one of the other books in this box. I think having a little penguin toy to play with and hold while reading a little book about penguins.

Winter Themed Teething Bracelet from BabyBoBeads – value: $11?

This is pretty – I don’t have any teething bracelets so I’m happy to add this to my small collection. Gideon just cut his last canine so he doesn’t have much teething left except for future molars. I think I’ll gift this to a pregnant friend of mine.

Little Penguin Gets the Hiccups – Value $7.99

This book is adorable. It’s about a little penguin who eats too much chili and ends up getting the hiccups. He then asks for the reader’s help to scare him so the hiccups go away.

It goes through pages where the reader is supposed to yell “boo!” and scare the penguin. Gideon doesn’t quite get what’s happening in the story but he does like to say “boo” when prompted here… This will be a very fun read to set aside and get back out when he’s just a little older.

Snow Friends – Value $9.99

This book is about a little bear who wakes up from hibernating to see snow on the ground! He plays but wants someone to share it with, so he makes a snowman.

An otter comes along and joins him in his snowy playtime fun. It’s a sweet story that flows well and has pretty artwork.

I have to point out that my box was missing a Moonstruck Hot Cocoa Packet (valued at $2), but LitJoy Crate’s customer service team responded promptly and I received a replacement very quickly.

Verdict: All in all, this was a pretty sweet December LitJoy Crate. I like the Wintery items and how playful all of the books and themes were. There was a good variety of products featured, too. Gideon and I have both enjoyed these new literary additions! Value-wise, everything adds up to $41.97, which I’m happy with.

What do you think about the December LitJoy board book crate?

  1. I was so very excited, thinking I would use this as a gift source young relatives – it was that cute! Then I clicked the site’s link and and saw there are only TWO box types: a children’s Picture Book Crate (ages 3-7) or Young Adult Book Crate (ages 14+). The younger box isn’t offered!!

    I ADORED the younger box!
