Wowza, does my family go through a lot of popcorn! It's probably our most commonly eaten junk food. My eight-year-old and I were amazed to learn that it predates Christopher Columbus!

The reverse side of each postcard is in postcard format but is filled with interesting facts about the topic. This seems to be written at a level that would be great for preschool and early grade school students to read with (or to) their parents.

There is also a website address for their online content. We took a peek and found that there is tons of information on their site about all kinds of fascinating topics!

Ew! I am so glad my son is interested in learning more about all kinds of animals, but the saltwater crocodile is one of the most terrifying predators on earth. We learned that the males can weigh over a ton!

My son found this postcard, which is about people and machines taking pictures of themselves in space, particularly interesting. He has been asking me all kinds of questions lately about the Mars rovers, and we have been looking up information about them online. The Mars rover Discovery was named the "King of Selfies" by Discovery News in 2013 because it has a special arm just for taking pictures of itself!

Fossils are a never ending source of awe for grade school children, and my son and I have learned a lot about them thanks to this and other subscription boxes. With this postcard, we learned that some fossils have been discovered that are over 4 billion years old! Wow!

Verdict: We have been receiving Kiwibop Postcard Pals for a while now, and we really enjoy it! The postcards are beautiful and the topics are really interesting. They have a massive array of topics, both on the cards they send and in their online content. This subscription is also very inexpensive, and kids love getting mail, so I think it would make a wonderful gift subscription for a special child in your life.

What do you think of Kiwibop Postcard Pals?

I placed an order of Kiwibops postcard for my daughter last June and it took until September to receive the first order and after that it has been very inconsistent, we have definitely not received a set of postcards per month as it was stated on the purchasing order. Very dissapointed with the lack of consistency in shipment from this mail order. They charged me in December of 2017 for another 6 months of cards and we have yet to receive any in 2018.

I was looking for some fun birthday gifts for some of our friend’s kids as well as my own children, and after reading through your review and Kiwibops website I thought it would be a great choice. I placed my order in June 2017, it is now November and I have only received two postcards in the mail even though I signed up to receive a postcard in the mail every month for 6 months. My friends have only received one postcard since then. Kiwibop charged me $20.47 for each of the three separate orders, and it says my order is now “complete”. There is no customer service available. They will not answer messages through their website or Facebook. There isn’t even a number to reach anyone. Has anyone else had issues? I want my money back, this is ridiculous!
