Geek Fuel doesn't have themes, but you'll know 2-3 franchises in each month before it ships. This month, they let new subscribers choose their QFig for a couple of days. But, this was only open to new subscribers.
Each month includes a card that details each item in your box.
You'll get a mini magazine each month as well. It'll include more in-depth stories and interviews. This month, they included a very appropriate homage to the late Carrie Fisher.
They even threw in a little bonus Princess Leia pin.
K-2SO Rogue One Shirt - Value $15?
Still excited about Rogue One or going to see it again - now you can sport this awesome K-2SO shirt! It's simple, but also packs in some movie detail into the graphic - it's perfect.
K-2SO even gets represented on the back of the shirt, at the neckline.
HE-BOT Pin - Value $5-10?
It seems like this is now a permanent fixture of the box. This little robot is Geek Fuel's mascot, and it makes an appearance as a different classic character each month. So far, we've seen Indiana Jones and R2-D2 - this month you'll receive one of two pins:
He-Man or Skeletor!
I got He-Man - but I would've been happy with either one.
Green Arrow QFig - Value $15
You'll receive one of a possible 4 QFigs featuring the DC Comics characters Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, The Flash, or Green Arrow.
I'm pretty lucky this month because I was able to get the one figure that I didn't already own! So happy!
Rupee Soap - Value $15-20?
Geek Fuel has some of the best, most fun packaging out there - and they showcased it with this item!
This chest opens up to reveal a card and the soap as your treasure:
These are three individual bars or soap - shaped to your favorite currency of Hyrule.
They're thick and plastic wrapped for you swappers out there. I'm having a tough time describing the smell - but it definitely strong.
Ninja Pizza Girl Steam Game - Value $10
Finally, they will always include a Steam game. They've also been doing an excellent job of making sure the games they choose are supported by, at least Mac and PC, if not Linux as well.
I played this game for about 10 minutes and had a blast! The rules and execution are simple, but it's challenging enough to have fun and get frustrated at the same time.
Verdict: At $23.90 a month, Geek Fuel will almost always come in over value with just the shirt and the game - that's awesome! They've had great shirt designs lately and I've always liked trying the games out, so it's nice to know I'll be assured value every month - plus, the other stuff was also great this month! Especially the QFig - I'm still a sucker for a good statue/figure!
