I was nicely surprised to receive this little book yesterday with my first BOTM. My 7-year old was eager to read it. And the cover is really cool!

That book is not intended for children. I think it is too dark and mature for most 7 year olds.

Good thing she didn’t get past the jacket summary (which is apparently a tad misleading). I thought it was supposed to be a ghost story. I may not read it, either.

Agreed. It’s pretty dark and I don’t think it’s intended for young children. I mean it starts out with the lead character talking about how good she is at a sexual act.

While I loved Gillian Flynn’s three big novels, this little 60-something-page book with mixed reviews isn’t an exciting freebie for me. I skipped this month because the selections didn’t appeal to me, but I love that this is a surprise for current subscribers!
