Hi I just signed up for the Walmart box and I guess I will get the Classic from what I have read so far. Can anyone out there give me an idea what is in the classic vs. the trendsetter please?

I have apologize to Walmart for complaining about my Fall boxes. Somehow I ended up with 6 because I never received an email about the boxes shipping, so I kept reordering. Ok-i ended up with 6 boxes and ALL CONTAINED only foil packets. I was so mad, not just at myself but the junk I got. Well, I was able to cancel 3 on time but it figures this Winter box is the best box I’ve ever received from Walmart!!! A really large Ponds anti-wrinkle cream (great for your neck),a large Curel wet skin moisturizer, nice travel size dove Moisturizer and a full size Covergirl lashblast mascara. What an excellent value. Thank you Walmart!! This was the Trendsetter box. I hope my next 2 boxes are as great.

The ponds is a little to heavy for my face, I plan on using it on my neck as well. And maybe the tops of my hands.

Hi! I have been subscribed to the Walmart box since the first one. I was just reading through the comments and thought I’d share my experience with the Walmart beauty box so maybe it would help answer some questions. I do not always receive an email stating that it is going to ship or even that it did ship so every three months I just check my account. The Trendsetter box is for those age 30 and under and the classic anyone over 30. When I first started I used my real age (40 at the time) so received the classic box which is ok if you use a lot of face creams and lotions. Since I don’t use them I learned that I could change my b-date to get the other. I have been happy for the most part with all of the boxes I have received. Last week I decided to sign-up for another and receive the classic box as well as the trendsetter. I received it in the mail yesterday and did receive an email this morning saying that the trendsetter box had shipped. I did read a message on their site that stated the boxes will be billed and shipped at anytime from Dec 15 through January, so yes not everyone gets them at the same time. The classic box I received this time was kinda nice and though I won’t use most of the products they are nice sizes and products for stocking stuffers for my mom. Can’t wait to get the other and see what is in it!

Thank you! That helps 🙂
I just signed up for a trendsetter box a few days ago, and was billed immediately, but still have not been billed for my other 2 boxes that I signed up for last season. I was wondering if maybe I wasn’t signed up for auto billing or something, but now I know 🙂

Oooooh thanks for this info guys! I had no idea that there are two versions of the Walmart box. Another reason why I love this site!! I added another sub. as a gift for my daughter but it didn’t state if it was a trendsetter or classic box. Will it just send a trendsetter box out for the age I applied? Thanks again 🙂

How did you know it is already available? Did your card get charged? I have been checking my account and have not seen anything so i thought they have not started shipping yet. I hope i will get mine soon. So happy with my first box last fall.

I received 2 emails from them about the Winter box (within this last week). Both asking me to make sure my account was up to date, so they will be charging and shipping soon!
I’m glad they sent that email as I hadn’t updated my billing address and moved 3 weeks ago! Whew!

I think once you’ve subbed to this box, you’ll get an email stating that the seasonal box is about to ship and to check your Walmart Beauty Box Account to make sure all the info is current.
I got an email on Tuesday for the Winter box. I think they ship these boxes in waves, and depending on what wave your box is in, some subbers may receive this email before others.

My 1st box was the fall and I liked the items in it. Looking forward to see what I get in the winter one.

How do you know what kind of box you’re going to get (i.e. I saw trendsetter and classic in the comments)? When I ordered, it didn’t ask me what type I wanted. Under type it only says “Winter 2016.” I’m 29 (almost 30) – does that affect which box I’d get? Also, if there are multiple boxes, can someone tell me how to get the other type? Thanks a bunch to anyone who can provode info!
P.S. Liz, you’re the best!

In order to get both the trendsetter and the classic I had to add a “gift” subscription to my account. I believe the cut-off is 30 years old, so I get my classic and the “gift” sub is shipped to me, but with a different birthdate to qualify for the trendsetter.

Thanks for the tip – I was finally able to add a Trendsetter box (for myself). Made myself 20 years old in the process…

Thanks for the information. Just ordered my trendsetter box as well.

I love getting this box. For only $5, it’s fun to see what’s inside. My favorite item I’ve received so far was the Ginger Candy Glossy Balm Stick from L’Oréal.

It is much better than the Target box.

It depends. Walmart boxes can be very inconsistent. I haven’t had any trouble (yet) but some people hardly get what’s advertised each quarter. Lots of foil packets of products instead of deluxe/travel sized versions and a lot of subsituitions and repeat product.
My boxes have only varied slightly, and I still think it’s worth a shot for $5. targets are good at being consistent and always delivering on what’s being advertised, it just sucks their prices can vary.
If you do a quick instagram search of the hashtag #walmartbeatybox – you can see how wildly it varies and decide for yourself.

This is true. I think it was last year’s winter box that I received all foils. However, all the other boxes I’ve gotten were much better than that. It’s $5 so I don’t feel like I’m breaking the bank and if it’s a dud, it didn’t cost that much to gamble on it.

After this month’s glossybox I think the Walmart box will surpass it. Looking forward to my boxes. I get both the classic and trendsetter.

I get both at my house, classic for me and the trend setter for my 11 year old. She loves it and for $5 a box you can’t beat a fun bit of mail!

Same here. My 14 year old and me would grab what we wanted out of the classic box before I knew I could get both. Now, we still grab outta both boxes hahaha.
This box at $5 is sometimes better than the Target $10-$15 box!

I’m kind of tempted. It’s only five bucks. It’s not like I have an addiction…..

It’s one of my favorite boxes. Very useful items and a good variety of them. I get both the classic & the trendsetter (I had to shave 10 years off my age to get it), there is some item overlap but I love this box. Can’t beat $5.
