Trunk Club for Women Subscription Review – December 2016

Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!

The Cost: $25 styling fee, credited towards any items you choose to keep, plus the cost of whatever you keep

The Products: Ten clothing items hand-selected by a stylist for you to try on at home

Ships to: Their website states that they ship to the contiguous 48 states only, for free, but it also states that there is a shipping and return fee to ship to Alaska and Hawaii. They do not ship internationally.

So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist, Kelly, who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected ten items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! This month I decided to try everything she selected.

This packet was also included in my trunk.

This is a note from my stylist, Kelly. I am so happy that she reviewed my Pinterest board! I can chat with her as much and as often as I like, and I just love that level of personalized service!

This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep. There is also a reminder to provide feedback on their website or app about how well each item worked for me.

On the back of the invoice are instructions for returning the items I don’t want to keep. I can drop my box back off at any UPS location, or I can schedule a free pickup through the Trunk Club app!

These items were also in the packet. When I’ve finished repackaging the items I don’t want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!

Cold Shoulder Lace Trim Top by Bobeau – Cost to keep $49

I really like the stylish details on this top! It has a lace hem, cold shoulders, and an elastic peasant neckline. I also think it’s pretty flattering. I do already have a lot of navy tops, though.

‘Itty Bitty’ Bootcut Jeans by Wit & Wisdom – Cost to keep $78

I like the dark wash of these jeans, and although I will (of course) need to get them hemmed, I like the slight flare, too. They are also pretty comfortable.

Floral Victorian Shimmer Peasant Top by Bobeau – Cost to keep $69

You can’t tell from the picture, but this top has tiny silver threads running through it. I really like it! I don’t usually wear a lot of light colors, but I like the style of this one a lot. The sleeves and neckline are really cool.

Crepe Georgette Shell by Sejour – Cost to keep $69

Even for just a shell, this is pretty unflattering. I don’t like the neckline, and I think it’s a little too long.

Knit Jacket by Nic + Zoe – Cost to keep $168.30

This jacket is really cute (and warm!), but I don’t think it looks good enough to justify the price. It really makes that shell look a lot better, though!

Mosaic Print Tank by Foxcroft – Cost to keep $56

I absolutely love the colors and the print of this tank! It’s a little boxy, though. I’m not totally sure about this one.

Ribbed Dolman Cardigan by Sejour – Cost to keep $59

Although the tank looks a lot better with this cardigan on. This cardigan is super soft, too! I really like the way it feels. I think olive must be the color de jour because I have been getting a lot of olive in my boxes for the past few months.

Verdict: This was another great package from Trunk Club! Kelly did an amazing job picking out items she knew I would love. I may wind up keeping everything but the white shell. The jacket is so expensive, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. As usual, it was really fun trying everything on! I’m turning into a huge Trunk Club fan!
