Each box comes with an info card and a Target coupon good for $3 off a beauty purchase of $15 or more. But, the coupon I received was expired weeks before we ever received the box.

Colgate Optic White Platinum: Express White - Value $1.62 (based on full-size price)

The first item inside was a travel-sized Colgate toothpaste. It's about half the size of the full-size version. It's a basic minty flavor.

target-beauty-box-man-december-2016-0008

Gold Bond Ultimate Refresh 360 Body Powder - Value $.70 (based on full-size price)

It's always nice to have body powder - so this was a nice inclusion in the box. I don't know how to describe the scent, but it's close to what I'd expect a body wash to smell like - it's not overwhelming, either, which I appreciated.

target-beauty-box-man-december-2016-0010

Old Spice Swagger 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner - Value $.56 (based on full-size price)

I personally love shampoo and conditioner, so again, I was really please to find 2 different shampoo + conditioner combo items in the box. This has somewhat of a citrus smell to it.

target-beauty-box-man-december-2016-0012

Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body Wash - Value $.55 (based on full-size price)

This is an item I've received before in other men's boxes - and I've always used it up right away. This is your basic face + body wash with a nice fresh powder smell.

target-beauty-box-man-december-2016-0014

Every Man Jack 2-in-1 Daily Shampoo & Conditioner - Value $1.20 (based on full-size price)

This is the second shampoo + conditioner in the box, and I couldn't be happier! This has a similar scent to the Dove body wash above, so they might pair nicely.

target-beauty-box-man-december-2016-0016

Old Spice Dirt Destroyer Pure Sport Body Wash - Value $.95 (based on full-size price)

The second Old Spice item is a body wash. Pure Sport is a pretty classic scent from Old Spice, one that I used to use a lot when Old Spice was my go-to.

target-beauty-box-man-december-2016-0018

Gillette Fusion Hydra Shave Gel - Value $2.12

This is a 2.5 oz travel size Gillette shaving cream. It's not the foaming type, instead is a cool gel.

target-beauty-box-man-december-2016-0006

Nautica Voyage Sport Cologne - Value $.70 (based on full-size price)

The final item is a cologne. One thing I do like about this little sample is that it has a spring-load spraying head on the little bottle - much easier! I'm not really a cologne guy, but I don't mind the scent - it reminds me a bit of the Old Spice Pure Sport scent.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $8.40 - while it comes in over the cost of the box, it's only slight. That being said, I like all the products and I'll use each one. There's also a nice amount of products to try - 8 in total! It was disappointing to receive an expired coupon, though - did this happen with anyone else's Men's box?

I did the chat and mentioned right away that others got a $5 gift card. He gave me the $5 e gift card, no problem.

Brittnie

Where did you do the chat at?

I got a $3.26 ($3+tax) refund to my card for the coupon and a $5 e-gift card due to the delivery debacle and a small issue with the women’s box. I didn’t demand it, that’s just what they gave. I’ve been buying these boxes like clockwork for over a year, so maybe they have incentive to keep me buying them?

I got a $3 coupon from CS for the expired coupon. Unimpressed, but it’ll work fine for our upcoming trip.

You all must’ve chatted with better customer service people than me…the guy I talked to said, “In this Target Beauty box there is not any coupon here and I checked all the promotions about it and it doesn’t come with any coupon.” He kept talking about other promotions and telling me this one doesn’t exist, even when I assured him I was physically holding it in my hand. Sigh.

I think we both talked to the same guy. It was an exercise in frustration to deal with him.

I bought four packs of the men beauty box also, and I too had received expired coupons, so I contacted Target and told them I am one of their valued customer and its the first time I have been disappointed with an order I had received. Anyway, they resolved my complaint by issuing me four $5 target gift cards.

Who did you call, because I noticed that in both my women’s & men’s boxes that they were expired

VOH

I really liked both boxes. The men’s box, along with the Amazon prime men’s box will be stocking stuffers for the dudes. Not bad for $17.

I ordered the Target men’s box at the same time as the women’s box. I received the women’s box last Monday (Dec. 12). I still have NOT received the men’s box! It was shipped at the same time as the other box. My updated estimated delivery date was yesterday, but it did not come. I know it’s a busy season for UPS and USPS, but it’s so weird that it would take a week later to get a package coming from the same place and shipped at the same time. So frustrating! Anyone else still waiting on a box?

Don’t worry, my estimated arrival was Dec 19 and I just received it today 12/23. I’m glad it came before Christmas.

Merry Christmas !!!

Rebecca

I finally got the men’s box on Monday. Did you get yours yet?

Reply ButtonReply

Cassie

Yes! I think I received mine on Monday as well. Thanks for asking! It’s so weird they were purchased and shipped at the same time but arrived a week or so apart!

Rebecca

I’m still waiting for mine to arrive, too. It went from Illinois to my local post office in SC, then got sent to a random city in Indiana, then to Indianapolis, now back to the main post office hub in my city. I was supposed to get it last Tuesday or Wednesday, but now it’s likely to arrive tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday. I’m interested to see the label on it to see if it was an issue with Target’s label or a USPS screw-up, as well as what condition the box is in.

Rebecca

Also, my women’s box arrived last Wednesday, and I ordered both almost two weeks ago (December 5th) at the same time.

Thank you Liz for the review and to all the readers who responded to her review.

This MSA review alerted me to the problem with the coupon. I contacted Target on Saturday (12/17/16) and after much “discussion” I received a $3 Target e-card due to the error. This credit was issued for each of my 4 men’s boxes. I have to admit it was a struggle to get the credit for the expired coupons so shame on Target for making it difficult to get this situation resolved.

I also received an expired coupon. All they gave me was a reference number, so next time I place an order I have to call them and get $3 off my order. I sent the men’s box to my son in GA and I live in NY. So I sent him my coupon. Amazing how different people get a different response when they call customer service. Oh well!!!

I ordered one for my husband and I received the tracking information on the 7th, but there’s been no movement. I called Target and the agent said it was lost, so they refunded me. 🙁

Mine was like that, too, but then arrived today. You may get yours yet.

I got a $5 gift card for the mistake. But I had ordered 2 boxes, so that’s technically $6 in coupons I was shorted. My husband really liked the boxes despite that, though.

I contacted Target about both the expired coupon and the missing Laniege product from the women’s box (in the picture, but not in the box). They gave me an $8 gift card to compensate.

Even though the value wasn’t high, I got this for my son to take on vacation in january and was pleased with products and sizes. Enough for 2 days without packing full sized items. Everything he needs. Coupon was also expired.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

This was the worst men’s box they’ve ever put out Low value, increased cost, poor curation, and expired coupon to top it off!

Reply ButtonReply

EH

I ordered a box for my husband as well and, yes, he received a coupon that was expired weeks ago!! I also ordered one for my friend’s husband and his coupon was expired!! I hate that Target sent out expired coupons for boxes that already had such a low value!! I wish I had passed on the men’s boxes!

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

I used the chat now feature on Target.com and they gave me a $4 e-gift card for the expired coupons!

Dea

My husband really enjoyed his “beauty box”, except for the powder, which itched and burned for some reason. Like Eric’s, the coupon was expired. I’m guessing that this was the men’s box that was launched and cancelled some weeks ago. The products made hubby very happy, although he complained that the wonderful Gillette gel would spoil him, as the full-size costs too much, when the frugal/practical man says “Barbasol”…

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Agreed, even though when they accidentally released that box it showed the prior men’s box contents. It seems like that was just a massive screw-up.

Reply ButtonReply

Teri

That’s what I thought also

I bought this box to use as stocking stuffers for my husband. I like the mix of products, he will use all of it. I got an expired coupon too (expiration date 12/03/16). That seems redundant.

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

I used the online chat feature and complained about the expired coupons. They sent me out a $4 e-gift card to make up for it!
