I really am enjoying this subscription. The brands and products they include are new to me, they have great curation and balance between salty and sweet, and they include many new-to-me healthy snack options. I like that they sometimes include coupons and they always have an information card.

Bite Fuel - Banana Apple Protein Granola Trail Mix - Value $1.09

This trail mix has 10 grams of protein per serving! That is really impressive. It is made with bananas, apples, and pecans for flavor along with a few other ingredients (oats, whey protein, etc). I really enjoyed the flavor of this trail mix, and I loved the small bits - it was perfect on my yogurt in the morning!

Pamela's Whenever Bars - Oat Chocolate Chip Coconut - Value $0.73

These bars are non-dairy and gluten-free. I think that I would have preferred this flavor without the coconut added. Beside that fact, the flavor was great, I enjoyed the texture, and I loved that each bar only has 150 calories!

Raw Rev Glo - Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt - Value $3.67

I feel like I get Raw Rev Glo bars at least once a month in my boxes; they show up SO often. This one is pretty good - it's your standard protein type bar. This brand is gluten free and non-GMO.

Nuttee Bean Co. - Spicy Fava Beans - Value $3.00

These are pretty good. The texture isn't quite as hefty as a nut, so they're a bit more light and airy. I didn't think they were spicy at all - but I did enjoy the flavor!

Nuttee Bean Co. - Wasabi and Ginger Fava Beans - Sample Size

These were interesting and had a bit of kick. I did enjoy these, but they weren't my favorite!

Nuttee Bean Co. - Salt and Vinegar Fava Beans - Sample Size

I think these were my favorite of the three. I really love that salt and vinegar flavor!

Jackson's Hones Sweet Potato Chips - Value $1.19

These chips are fried in coconut oil, so they're a little more healthful than other chips. I enjoyed this flavor - they were a good, basic sweet potato chip that would go excellent with a savory dip!

Oogies Sun-dried Tomato & Parmesan Popcorn - Value $1.00

This is absolutely delicious. The sun-dried tomato and parmesan flavors both come through really nicely in this popcorn!

snack-sack-november-2016-cassava-trail-mix

Antioxidant Trail Mix - Gourmet Nut - Power Up - Value $2.00

This antioxidant trail mix has a mixture of pecans, cranberries, raisins, blueberries and chocolate. It was really delicious! The only thing that would make me like this better, is if the smaller size had a resealable top.

Wai Lana Cassava Pops - Sea Salt - Value $0.97

I really enjoyed these. I've tried Cassava chips before and didn't expect much from these but they definitely exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely seek these out to buy again!

Presidential Cookies - Dick and Jane - Value $0.67

I've received these several times in subscription boxes. They are are a really fun idea for cookies, but the cookie itself is pretty 'meh.'  They would be great as dippers for fondue or sweet dips though!

States & Capitals - Dick and Jane - Value $0.76

Again, these are a really great idea, but the flavor falls flat to me.

PB Thins Peanut Butter Crackers - Value $0.36

I received these in my last Love with Food Box, and I really loved them. They have a nice mix of sweet and salty and the peanut butter flavor is unmistakable. I could eat way too many of these tiny little crackers!

Ginny Bakes Organics - Mini Cookies - Chocolate Chip Oatmeal - Value $1.08

These are organic and all-natural. They are also gluten-free and delicious! They do have a pretty strong coconut flavor, which isn't my favorite, but overall the flavor is great and I enjoyed the texture.

Verdict: SnackSack is consistently one of my favorite boxes because of the variety and the new companies and snacks I'm introduced to. This month, the value of the box is $16.52, which is a little over $8.00 under the cost of the box. This is actually a better value than I've seen in the past few months, but still a little disappointing. I do understand, though, that they offer free shipping, and they're a smaller box company. Food boxes, on the whole, also tend to have lower values. Overall, I'm very pleased with my SnackSack boxes, but it's important to keep your expectations of value in check when you subscribe!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

The Dick and Jane snacks remind me of teething biscuits. But overall I am always happy with my boxes.

I think the december box (or possibly this one) is the last one for those of us that subscribed for 6 months with the 50% off sale earlier this year. The value of the boxes also seemed to drop quite a bit after that sale, so that they were a fantastic value if you’d gotten the sale, but sort of crummy if you were paying full price (Independent of money value, I really enjoyed all my boxes). It will be interesting to see if there’s any increase in value soon. I couldn’t have justified these past months boxes at full price, but I do wish I could have, because I really enjoyed them and want to be able to keep getting boxes! Either way, I’m really glad I’ll get to keep seeing your reviews of the boxes 🙂

IMO-SnackSack used to be so much better but it seems like they are recycling the same brands and products every few months. For me, discovering new companies and new items is a major part of why I subscribe to a box. I keep checking out their reviews with hopes of them improving their value and curation. I would then consider resubscribing, but not until then.
