Jamie Booties in Olive - retail $59.95 (VIP price: $39.95)

This month, I chose a unique pair of booties that are not ideal for upcoming winter, but I had to have! They are listed as the color olive on ShoeDazzle's website, but it appears more of a dark khaki in most light. The heel is 1.75 inches and an overall comfortable fitting shoe.

The perforation and buckle strap detailing is really awesome and totally my style. The construction feels like good quality but I wanted to mention two things. First, the buckle straps are one-size and can not be adjusted. They are a good bit wider than my ankle, but I personally don't mind the extra room. Secondly, when wearing with denim or pants, I'll need to figure out the best sock to wear. Even lower ankle socks show through the cut-outs, but without high socks, the back of the shoe rubs against my skin that is noticeable by the end of the day.

One thing I love is the back zipper. I am able to easily slip in and out of this shoe!

Day to day, I will definitely be pairing these booties with denim and a top. And for the next few months, I will also be layering on a maxi cardigan. I purposely rolled my denim higher than normal, to show off the ankle strapping.

And when heading out to my favorite local dinner spot, I'll swap out my cardigan for a simple poncho and statement accessories.

I also received a $100 wine voucher to nakedwines.com.

Verdict: Overall, I am really happy with this month's ShoeDazzle pick. These boots retail for $59.95 and have a VIP price of $39.95, which I think is a good value for the quality and details on this particular pair.

Preheels. Spray has saved my life for heels and flats; my pressure points never hurt now.

Love your top in the first pic and the poncho. Where to buy?

Hi Tracy! The top is from Zara and poncho from Banana Republic. Both from last year!

Sara, most shoe shops carry a product that sticks too the back of your shoe, it fuzzy(like lambs wool) on the side that touches your skin. This should help you! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Ah, thank you for these hacks, Patricia & Robin!

Moleskin. Few bucks at CVS, then you don’t need socks.

Where did you get your black backpack bag?

That’s from a luxor limited edition box I think.

Yep, that’s correct!

I got the same pair and love them! I wear those little nude nylon socks that can be worn with ballet flats and they are pretty well hidden. Love your styling!

Your styling tips are great, Sara. I also think those booties would look amazing with darker tights and a skirt!

I totally agree, Jessica! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂

You did a great job of selling the booties. I didn’t really like them until I saw them on you with your different looks. BTW, I also LOVED your looks!
