The info card included with this box is the cutest card I’ve ever seen in a subscription box.

(Fair warning, I will overuse the word “cute” in this review!)

The info card folds out into an adorable scene!

And on the flip side is the info for each item.

Now, onto the items!

Hello Sanrio Pocket Tee – Value $15?

This tee features Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, Pompompurin, My Melody, Keroppi, Chococat, and Pochacco falling out of an illustrated pocket!

The tee is 85% cotton 15% viscose, and it is very lightweight and soft. The sizing for this is unisex, and I went with size Medium, which has a slightly loose fit – exactly what I wanted. (For reference, I’m regularly a size large at Forever 21.)

Hello Kitty Sparkle Figure

How do you make a Hello Kitty figure even cuter? Add glitter!

This figure measures about 3.5 inches tall and it has a good weight to it, too. (Heavier than you would think from looking at it!)

And the head is moveable.

Hello Kitty Bag Charm

This keychain is beautifully packaged – perfect for gifting!

The Helly Kitty charm measures about 1.5 inches tall.

The chain and outline on the charm are done in gold metal with enamel fill.

This definitely feels so much more special than your typical key chain!

Hello Sanrio Pouch

This pouch is bursting with cuteness! And I love the gold metal bow charm in front!

And look at this adorable zipper pull! (This zipper charm is removable too, so you can use it elsewhere.)

This pouch measures about 8 inches across and is roomy enough to carry all my makeup. And it has a zippered pocket inside:

The material has a vinyl coating feel, so you don’t have to worry about cosmetic spills.

Hello Sanrio Notebook + Stickers

On the first page of this notebook, you will find tiny, puffy stickers:

So fun!

And the pages have illustrations on the edges:

(This notebook measures 7 X 5 inches.)

Hello Sanrio Scented Erasers

These totally take me back to my elementary school days when scented markers, erasers, etc. were necessary to do my homework! 😉

And speaking of school supplies…

Hello Sanrio Friends Pen

I love the lineup of friends on this pen! And the charm is fabulous, too:

Verdict: I am SO impressed with the first Sanrio Loot Crate box! First, the quality of all these items is excellent. Now that I have the box in my hands, I would definitely recommend this for gifting – it is really impressive. Secondly, I think the value is great, too. Counting shipping to the US, this box breaks down to about $6.66 an item. That’s a great deal to me, especially when you factor in that many items are exclusive and you can’t buy them anywhere else.

  1. I love that this box started with the Hello Sanrio line. A bunch of stuff that I wanted sold out very quickly. I think this is one of their cutest and adult friendly lines. I wish the t-shirt wasn’t unisex though. I would have preferred a woman’s shirt. It felt like Christmas opening this and my Rachel Zoe box the same day!

  2. I love this box! It is too expensive for me right now, but as a child I loved Hello Kitty items and one of my children loves them now. I am going to bookmark this. Maybe in the future.

  3. This is better in terms of contents than the Sanrio crate you guys reviewed a week or two ago, and the price is the same.

    • Thank you so much for saying something about there being a review of a different Sanrio box recently – I was beginning to think I was crazy because I can’t seem to find it. What was that box? Was it also a Loot Crate? I’m curious to compare the two against each other.

I absolutely LOVE this box – that shirt is beyond adorable. Everything with the exception of the erasers is totally usable to me in my everyday life. This is REALLY tempting me. That glitter Hello Kitty would be such a perfect addition to my vinyl collection!

      • I caved – with the 25% off coupon that is offered today I couldn’t help myself. I’ll only get the one box and then cancel because I don’t need a slew of Sanrio items, but there isn’t a single thing in this box that I could pass up!

  4. Very cute, even adorable- but to be fair, it’s not nearly as difficult as implied in the review to find extremely similar Sanrio items in the US. I know it says exclusive but that mostly pertains to this exact variation specifically for LC. You can find near identical items that most wouldn’t even notice, very easily all over since Sanrio is so heavily licensed across the US. They just use the whole “exclusive to us only” bit to sound like it’s so special but it’s another marketing gimmick. So for the everyday, non collector type, hope they know Sanrio is not exclusive to this box- only these exact variations of items are. You’d be surprised at how easily this stuff is found, everywhere.

  5. I was really impressed with this box. The presentation was great and I love the curation! I am going to keep some of the items and some others will be gifted or become stocking stuffers.

P.S. Kirstin, I gave no idea what the bubble thing is. I was going to open it up but was hoping for more info as well…

    • Don’t open it, just a decorative, very cheap, toy. Useful for a keychain fob if you’re like, 5 years old. You can always hoard it and send it forward to the Sanrio museum in a few years!

      • Thanks! I wasn’t sure what the heck it was. 🙂

  6. I was hoping someone could explain the bubble toy that was attached to the sticker closure…there wasn’t any mention of this and it has me perplexed…thanks!

    • Kristin, if you check out Nerdy Newb’s review if this box on YouTube she talks about the packaging so the bubble attachment will make sense.

    • It’s a random toy. Sanrio had this thing (maybe they still do) of attaching a small gift to your purchase.

  7. Maybe it’s just not coming across in the picture how glittery hello kitty is, all I see is hello kitty with glitter measles?

  8. This was my first box from this sub. I bought a year subscription bc my daughter really likes Hello Kitty. I chose for the shirt to be in a size XS so she could wear it but it is so cute that I wish I got it in my size!

  9. I received mine yesterday & I totally agree with you Liz this box is fantastic !

    • So glad you think so, too! Now I wish this box shipped every month! 🙂
