peaches-and-petals-december-2016-calendar

peaches-and-petals-december-2016-calendar-2

Color a Day Calendar - Value $4.47

Wow, I can't believe how fast this year has flown by! It's time for new calendars! I think I have mentioned before how, oddly, these adult coloring books cause me some weird anxiety, but I know most people love them. I have an aunt who is way into them, though, so this will be a perfect gift for her!

peaches-and-petals-december-2016-bottle

Wine Bottle Ugly Christmas Sweater - Value $8

Hahaha! When I first saw this in the box, I thought it was a fingerless glove, which would also have been cool, but no. It's a wine bottle koozie. This is super festive!

peaches-and-petals-december-2016-warmer

peaches-and-petals-december-2016-warmer-2

Wax Free Tart Warmer - Value $21.98?

I actually don't have a tart warmer of any kind, so this is pretty cool for me. I guess I don't have a frame of reference as to why wax is a big messy problem, but this one works well with no mess at all!

peaches-and-petals-december-2016-warmer-3

Wax Free Tarts (x2) - Total Value $1.50 USD

The warmer came with one disk (on the right), which is vanilla scented. Peaches and Petals included two additional disks (on the left) that are sun-dried linen scented. I tried one of the linen ones, and it smells great! I put the warmer in the bedroom, and it did a great job diffusing the scent right away. I ran it for about an hour, and the scent lingered all day. Cool!

Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain - Value $24

Wow, how awesome to get a beauty item that's worth more than the cost of the entire box! The color is "lucky." It's pretty highly pigmented, which I like.

peaches-and-petals-december-2016-earrings

Earrings - Value $12?

This was my surprise jingle-y and mingle-y item for the month. I like these earrings a lot! I love the size and the colors.

Verdict: I am really enjoying my subscription to Peaches and Petals! The coloring book was a bit of a miss for me, but other than that everything I received was great. I was especially happy with the lip gloss and earrings! This month's estimated value comes to about $72, which is amazing for a $20 box! I think Peaches and Petals is a really great way to treat yourself to a lifestyle box on a budget.

Subscribed for the first time December 19th. After much back and forth when I didn’t receive my box around the 2nd, or even have a shipping notification, I got told that “around” the second meant up to a week later and to wait. (Their website indicates tiered shipping based on when you order – mine should have been done by the 2nd based on when I ordered). A week later I emailed them and asked where my box was, as I still did not have tracking. Got told that there were weather delays. Received notification that my box was marked as fulfilled on January 11th, but still no tracking. Contacted them again – got told that all boxes were marked that way, but that they were still waiting on an item for the boxes, and they had no estimate as to when it would come in, but once it did, then I would get my tracking. Quite frankly, this whole thing was a huge hassle and a large disappointment, and my box still hasn’t shipped. Already cancelled the subscription. I strongly recommend not going for this one. There are other boxes that actually communicate with their subscribers, don’t cut corners, and don’t display poor business practices. This one should just go down the tubes.

Sorry to hear this. As you can see from the comments, I had a major disappointment with their most recent (December which arrived in January) box as well. Once yours finally arrives, would you mind posting your thoughts on it? I’m just curious if I just had a bad month and they are getting better, or if they are just starting to stink and go downhill overall. I only had two months to check it out before I gave up. November’s box was really great (and on time), and December turned out to be a box of garbage, arriving well after Christmas, so any holiday-themed stuff was useless anyway. I’m interested to hear your feedback.

I JUST got my December box today (note, it’s January 6th and I was charged on December 13th for it). It was literally a bunch of stuff thrown in a box, not even packaged nicely, without the descriptive card. Instead of a calendar, I got ANOTHER pair of socks (almost the same ones they sent me last month), the tart warmer is broken, and the wine bottle sweater has a hole in it. Not cool. Honestly, I would have had no clue the sweater was supposed to be for a wine bottle if I had not seen this post. This is only my second box. Last month’s was so nice and fun, and then this month I feel like I got a box of garbage that was just tossed together. So sad!! I had to cancel my subscription. I would rather spend my $20 elsewhere.

Are there any supscription boxes similar to this ?

I feel like the calendar is undervalued. Page a day calendars usually cost upwards of $10.

I swear the boxes they send to MSA are alot different that most people get… This was a surpriingly nice box for them though, but I will not subscribe again for a few reasons. I do hope their boxes keeping looking like this one for the subscribers that do.

Melissa

Really? This is the same box I received, except that my jingly surprise was a set of 3 necklaces instead of earrings.

Seems like the boxes got nicer after I cancelled my subscription but not enough for me to renew.

I’ve seen a couple of those things on 13deals (same company that does Mystery Box of Awesome). I wonder if they’re buying from the same wholesalers.

Uh, yeah. I bought that wine bottle sweater 5 years ago at MARSHALL’S for my then 4-year-old to use as a Christmas sweater for his Blabla monkey, who still wears the sweater.

Ragan

It’s the same company. They also do Pet Treater.

I also meant to say, they don’t seem to have a wholesaler for most merchandise. It’s all closeouts and discontinued items.

Emily

My tart warmer thing was broken. I emailed them about it a week ago @ it’s been radio silence. I cancelled as I’m tired of dollar store items & would rather use the $20 a month towards nicer boxes.
