MistoBox Coffee Subscription Box Review – December 2016
MistoBox is a coffee subscription box that sends 12 oz. bags of coffee that are selected just for you.
When you sign up for a subscription, you let MistoBox know what type of coffee you’d like to receive and how often you’d like to receive it. They then pair you up with a “coffee curator” who learns your preferences and picks coffee to suit your taste and budget.
Here’s a screenshot of my preferences. I’ve opted to receive lightly roasted deluxe blends and single origin coffees once every 4 weeks. Keep in mind that the coffee I receive is picked for me based on my personal preferences— your shipment might be totally different!
If you don’t enjoy a coffee you receive, MistoBox will replace it for free.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: MistoBox
The Cost: Pricing ranges from $12.79 – $21.99 per shipment, depending on the types of coffees you’re looking for and the number of shipments you purchase at a time. For my subscription (a deluxe coffee sent once per month paid monthly), the cost is $18.99 per shipment.
The Products: Freshly roasted, 12 oz. bags of artisan coffee picked just for you.

Information about my coffee pick for this month came printed on a sticker on the inside of the box.
Greenway Coffee Santa Teresita (340 grams) – Value $17
This coffee is from Houston, Texas’ Greenway Coffee, and it’s so fragrant that I could smell it as soon as I opened up the box!
The beans are from the Nariño growing region of Colombia, and they’re fully washed.
The bag is printed with a roast date. (I love when roasters print a roast date on the packaging. It’s great knowing how fresh the beans are!)
The beans are lightly roasted and really gorgeous.
In the cup, this coffee is bright and smooth. There’s a hint of citrus, but the dominant flavors are chocolate and cherry. I’m a big fan!
Verdict: I’m so impressed with MistoBox. My curator always does an excellent job of sending coffee that’s tailored to my profile, and I really feel like the feedback I provide is taken on board. This coffee is another winner— I love it! In terms of value, I paid $18.99 and I received about $17 worth of coffee. Considering the level of personalized curation and the fact that I’d need to pay shipping if I ordered this coffee myself, I’m very happy with the value.
