KitNipBox is a monthly subscription box just for cats. Each month, expect a themed selection of toys and treats for your kitty! None of the food products in the box are made in China, though some of the toys may be. All KitNip Box toys are thoroughly assessed for quality and safety by the KitNip Box team.

The information card included a list of items in the box. They included values and I have used a lot of these below because KitNipBox toys can be hard to find for sale online.
Leap Pet Products Hidey Mouse Toy – Listed Value $7
You can put the little mouse inside the fur cuff. Mr. Kitty thought this was interesting. (I can never find Leap Pet Products stuff online.)
Safemade Snow-Shake Toy – Listed Value $6
You pull the little ring and this vibrates for a few seconds. The cats were more curious than afraid, which is a good thing. (Safemade toys are also not typically available online.)
Chemistry Kicker – Listed Value $6
This was unbranded. Monkey discovered it a few minutes after I opened the box and he thought it was awesome.
Ourpets Catnip (0.5 oz) – Value $1
I have baggies of catnip in about every room of the house now! This will be good for refreshing various cardboard scratchers.
Purebites Freeze-Dried Chicken (0.6 oz) – Value $1.99
This was pretty popular. Especially with Sneaky. She seriously tried to take every piece I got out of the bag.
Safemade Bulb Wand – Listed Value $6
Sneaky thought this was pretty awesome. Dangly toys on wands are usually a win around here so I am always happy to see them.
Candy Cane Wrestler – Listed Value $5
This is a good size for my crew, not too stiff, and has a FEATHER, so it was popular. (It was unbranded/untagged so I couldn’t look it up.)
Gratuitous cat photos ahead:
Madison was pretty skittish during this photo session for some reason. This was about all I could get him to do. Oh well, sometimes that’s how it goes.
Monkey thought the test tube toy was pretty awesome. I didn’t have to pose him or anything.
Sneaky loves dangly toys on sticks. And she also loves the sticks.
She was totally into the treats, as well.
Mr. Kitty checks out a few items from the box. He really wanted the treats but he can’t have them. His eyes look irritated because he had just come from a trip to the veterinary ophthalmologist and he was pretty stressed out. Also because he has about 7 different eye problems, all at the same time.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $32.99 for the December KitNipBox. That is a few dollars above the cost of the box, which is honestly pretty good for a cat subscription box. (Many have low values.) My cats enjoyed pretty much everything (it helps that I have four cats) and I like getting toys that are not typically seen elsewhere and/or are otherwise hard-to-find.
What did you think of the December KitNipBox? Do you subscribe to any cat boxes?
