  1. I would just like to receive the mystery box I paid for. I received one on Christmas Eve after continously contacting them about their promises and lousy customer service. Both boxes I purchased were gifts although I had to rebuy gifts for the one I did NOT receive and am still waiting on. Their customer service is horrible and they cannot figure out apparently that I bought 2 separate mystery boxes on different days although I have given them 2 different order numbers. Now items included in the Fashion & Beauty box I am waiting for are being sold at the boutique sell at a discount. If they are having these issues with delivering on their promises and products they will not stay in business long. I am new to PSMH but will not renew the month to month sub I signed up for as a first time customer because of the fiasco I am experiencing with delivery and their customer service.

  2. Has anyone had trouble getting signed into their account? I have even tried the forgotten password and it tells me that my email address is not on file.
    My plans are to cancel my sub. Maybe they know this somehow. Lol

  3. Does anyone know if there will be a popsugar/ target box coming out soon like the past couple years?

  4. I think Popsugar is going out of business altogether. When companies start offering mystery boxes and super sales on merchandise it always throws up a red flag for me. I bet Popsugar will be done some time next year!

    • Not a fan of PopSugar personally because of some past issues with their customer service.

      That said – Mystery Boxes and end of year sales are just their way of getting rid of excess inventory so that they don’t get taxed on in at the end of the year. All of the big box companies do it in some form – Birchbox does mystery boxes, GlossyBox sells past boxes at a discount, FabFitFun has the “Welcome Box” and the Ad Ons.

      I’m guessing this has more to do with them not being able to find a profitable rate for the Mini’s that generated enough interest to make continuing to market them worth their time or money.

  5. The timing of this is suspicious. Many of us gifted the mini subscription for Christmas and now this announcement. Was PS figuring we would all just upgrade to the Must Have because we would feel guilty about those we gifted the mini? We are just moving on to Sephora or Birchbox instead. Seemed like a sneaky business move.

  6. I had a feeling this was coming – they didn’t offer any deals on them like they did for the full-sized box. The boxes weren’t as good a deal as the regular box, especially when you take into account the sales.

  7. Ugh! I was just on there a day or two ago telling myself to order the Mini for the Smith & Cult polish. I should have just pulled the trigger 😩

  9. I JUST subscribed to this in December. I never end up liking the full PSMH box but liked several months of this, so I decided to get it instead of the other..

    Just my luck..

  12. I noticed it was missing when I went on my account to check something today. Not surprised. A third item would have really solidified a consistent subscription from me personally. Perhaps they’ll take note and develop something good in the future.

  13. I’m not surprised. I think this box could’ve been really great, but it just never hit the mark. The items featured always had an overinflated value and while SOMETIMES they offered three items, I think three items should have been standard (and nothing big, like a snack as they feature in their full sized box).

    Will be interesting to see what they come out with in the new year.

    • Ha! I filled out every review for every must have mini, and each and every time I told ’em they needed to include a snack! 😉

  16. Too bad. Always wondered about the purpose of that box. So many subs out there right now. When I first started subbing, had so many could not keep up. Would give more stuff away then I kept. Now, I’m down to one and just purchase Special Editions that spark my interest.

    • I agree with Trace. There are so many now. Now am down to just PS monthly, Globein and FFF. Will do PS LE and Target if they look good 🙂 I gave more away as well than I kept over the past few years. I find I use most everything from PS, FFF and Globein is so unique that I signed up again for 3 months. I wish MSA would do one again, hint, hint!!!!!

      • MSA did a subscription box at one point? How did I miss this?!

      • I didn’t know MSA had done a box either. I searched MSA box and found the posts by Liz about the boxes, the products, how she picked the items, what it was like to try and get the items she wanted to put in the box. (Quarterly put out the box, Liz was the curator.) Her final post was on why she decided to stop doing the box. Curating a box is harder than it seems. There are the problems with the products, the availability of the products, getting the products on time in order to put the boxes together and get them shipped. I think all readers of MSA should read these posts. It might help understand why there are problems that are sometimes beyond the curators control. And we all know Liz has a lot of experience with subs and yet it was still a hard job getting out a good box, on time, and all that.

        In terms of problems with acquiring and distributing available products, I’m willing to cut an individual curator (like Liz, in this example) or a small independent sub considerably more slack than I am a larger company like Birchbox or Popsugar, an international company like Glossybox, or a giant corporation like Allure/CondeNast.

        With the latter group, sure, the occasional problem is inevitable, but since the entire function of a subscription box is to acquire and distribute products according to a schedule in exchange for currency, there’s a reasonable limit to subscribers’ patience and understanding!

      • I totally agree about all the big ones. They really have no excuse, but it does help put things in perspective when dealing with the smaller ones, especially the ones who try to use ethically resourced items. It was definitely an interesting and informative read

      • That’s good to know! I figured it would be difficult but didn’t know HOW difficult. I’ll be sure to check out those posts!

      • I agree, Chris! I think she also did a collaboration with Kloverbox, maybe? I still use the tote, the throw, the necklace, and am now a convert to Yes to Carrots moisturizer and Tatcha face wash. 🙂 Thanks, Liz

      • Hi Ashley, it says I am but who knows. I was a subscriber last year and now did another 3 month sub. If I do get it I will stay a subscriber, if not I will try another one of artisan type subscriptions that has been mentioned on this boards. Whether or not I get the Love box, it is a crappy thing for them to do to their existing or new subscribers. Vikki, yes the Kloverbox collaboration was good too! I use everything from that box and from the regular MSA boxes. I wish Liz would do a POPSUGAR Box collaboration 🙂
