The box came with this full-color brochure featuring more information about the items and brands included in the box.

This adds so much to the subscription for me - it's great to read the stories and inspirations behind each product in the box.

Now, onto the items!

Tribe Alive Scarf - Value $78

Already, we're above the cost of the box!

This handwoven scarf is made in India from 100% cotton. I love the muted grey and navy colors, and the tassels are a unique touch!

This is a big scarf, (78 3/4"L x 35 1/2"W), so you can wear it a lot of different ways, and it's lightweight enough to work as a wrap in the summer, too.

Parker Clay Clutch - Value $100?

This clutch was made exclusively for CAUSEBOX by Parker Clay, and the quality of the leather and the craftsmanship in the construction are excellent. (I also recommend reading the conversation Matt (co-founder of CAUSEBOX) and Ian (co-founder of Parker Clay) have in the booklet - it gives, even more, meaning to this clutch.)

This clutch measures approximately 5 by 8 inches and can fit my phone, cash/cards, lip balm, etc. It also has one card slot inside:

I love minimal design, and my wardrobe is about 85% black, so this is a perfect piece for me!

L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream - 1 oz Value $12

This is such a classic beauty staple and I think one of the first products I ever sampled from L'Occitane! This is a rich hand cream that absorbs pretty quickly. Plus, a little goes a long way, so this small tube should probably last me a month or so!

Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish in L.A. Smog - Value $18

I've sampled this brand before and I really like their formula. This polish is a high-shine grey creme - just stunning! Here it is on:

2017 Desk Calendar - Value $20?

This woodblock calendar can also be reused to display photos, prints, etc. when you've made it through 2017!

I really love the designs and style of CAUSEBOX - this calendar will work perfectly with my desk. (I always aim for simplicity on my desk, but a few reviews in, and it's just product everywhere!)

And one more great thing about this calendar - for every wood block made, CAUSEBOX planted a tree through Trees for the Future.

Courtney Pilgrim Print - Value ?

This print was made exclusively for CAUSEBOX and has silver embossed text printed over the dreamy grey background.

Krochet Kids $25 Online Store Credit 

Each Krochet Kids purchase provides life changing jobs, education and mentorship to women living in poverty.

I found a few beanies for less than $25, so you can get a hat for only the $5.99 shipping cost. I think I'm going to get the Brady in black.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $241. I think that value is fantastic for a subscription that works with fair-trade companies! I had to estimate values on a few items so that $241 number could be a little off, but it's definitely worth the $54.95 cost to me (or $44.95 with the WINTER10 coupon). Plus, I'm loving the grey color theme with this box!
