Birchbox December 2016 Box Reveals Are Up!

Pretty annoyed that Birchbox is sending me the December curated box when I picked a sample choice item. Obviously, that means we don’t like what’s in the curated box and want something else. Grrr.

I have been with Birchbox almost 2 years…I keep giving them chances and changing my profile answers and I swear they do not go by it! Way to many good boxes out to waste more time on Birchbox! You would think these companies would find ways to give really good items at certain times of the year…especially if customers have stayed with the company for awhile! I’m thinking I will send a email about my items and give them ONE MORE CHANCE! Lol, always wanna give one more chance…so afraid I’m going to miss the best thing ever! However, the only makeup items I’ve actually received in 7 months were ones I picked for my pick of the month. So this really is just one more try. Happy holidays everyone!

NUXE Moisturizer Cream Crème Fraiche® de Beauté – has aloe, but it’s 30 ingredients down so it’s fine. You can never have too much moisturizer.
Laura Geller New York GlamLASH Dramatic Volumizing Mascara – meh, I have a Jelly Pong Pong from Ipsy that I accidentally got and I love it. I also like the Better Than Sex mascara but I’ll try this. I have pretty sensitive eyes so here’s hoping.

My samples actually changed somehow. This is the first month I am thinking of cancelling because of. I would have thought they would be generous since it’s the holidays but one of my 5 samples is perfume.

Does anyone know if you can still use their point system if you continue to purchase product through them?

I can never seem to pull up what I’m receiving. It must be this crappy phone I’m using😂😂

So one of my samples was “milk makeup dew you kit” Which has 3 sample sized items. Is there a chance I’ll receive the whole sample kit?? I assume I’ll get just one, but some commenters above mention specific milk items, so how did you know?

Cancelled. This is insane. I thought this was a makeup box…? Apparently I was wrong. I keep getting lotions, washes, and perfumes. I emailed them about it last month, not even going to bother this time since they didn’t seem to care. No matter how I update my profile, I get garbage. This month is 2 lotions, a perfume and hair spray?? I removed ALL mention of body products & hair things to avoid this, see the revel and I’m furious. I just wanted makeup items. Worst “profile” system ever. Tried 3 months, they won’t be getting another dime from me. Ipsy is way better. And their samples are always bigger (for the same price!).

Oh my gosh I am pumped for my box!! I am getting 7 items which I don’t see anyone else listing? Maybe I just got lucky, although i’m assuming that the shampoo/conditioner are foil packets, but still yippee!

Saphira Hair mineral mud. I have very brittle hair so i am always willing and excited to try a hair treatment
Marcelle CC Cream. This was my pick, i’ve never used a CC cream so i’m excited to try it
Juliette has a Gun MMMM perfume. I actually like getting perfume samples, I don’t wear perfume enough to ever justify spending the ridiculous amounts of money that it costs so I just keep these samples around and use them when i need them. 🙂
Coastal Scents Blush and Bronzer. This is probably the only thing i’m not excited about, like others have said their samples are always teeny, plus i’ve got a lot of blushes and bronzers.
Oribe brilliance and shine shampoo & conditioner. Even though these will probably be packets, I love oribe hair products and won’t ever complain about getting them no matter the size.
Real Chemistry Luminous 3 minute peel. I actually had a hard time deciding between this and the CC cream for my pick, so how lucky to get both!!

Birchbox loves to send me dry shampoo for some reason. I’ve subscribed since June and this is the 4th one I’m receiving. Most excited for the 3 minute peel this month. I was planning on December being my last box, but I logged on too late Wednesday to cash in my points with an item to ship for free and with the 15% off. It looks like January will be my last box, dropping Birchbox for Look Fantastic 🙂

I got the curated box. After a couple of months of Birchbox I realized that is the best way to avoid getting more dry shampoo, perfume samples and trial black mascaras and eye liners. I would much rather try different skincare and shampoos. I have never used dry shampoo.

I’ve been disappointed with the past few months, so this was the deciding month. I had updated my answers in the questionnaire after the last box and it seemed to have helped. I’m very happy with my box this month, I’m getting:

If you aren’t getting good boxes, I’d suggest updating your preferences. Back when I did mine originally (Jan 2016) I didn’t have the huge stash of things I do now, so it really needed to be updated.

Hey everybody, didn’t know where else to post this. Urban Decay is offering their Nude eyeshadow palette in “Smoky” for $27 on their website!

I’m feeling disappointed with my box this month. I am really only excited for my sample choice item (the LOC shadow stick).

– The Organic Pharmacy Double Rose Rejuvenating Face Cream (I was highly considering the curated for this cream)
– LOC One & Done Shadow Stick (my sample choice)

– Juliette Has a Gun Perfume (I’m on the fence with the Juliette Has a Gun perfumes I’ve received so far (I think they’ve all been the same scent though), but I don’t think I’ve received this one yet, so I’m willing to give it a try)
– Coastal Scents Blush & Bronzer Palette (Not excited to get this, as I’ve heard these samples are super tiny (and they look tiny too). They almost seem like they’d be harder to use than The Balm blush samples. Since it seems unusable, I may have to just toss it which breaks my heart. I don’t think I’d want to gift or donate this if it’s unusable since it’s so tiny. Does it make for a good eyeshadow?)
– Oribe Shampoo for Brilliance & Shine (excited to get this. Since it’s only the shampoo (no conditioner is listed as being in the box) is there the slight possibility this could be a deluxe sample? I hope so!)

I’ve only been with Birchbox since June 2016 but this is the second month in a row I’m getting perfume. Ick! Besides that, I’m happy with my box.
