Each box comes with a card listing the box’s contents and retail values. This month’s theme is “Balanced Baubles” with a mix of pieces that can be worn dressed up for a party or completely casual.

Opium Studs – Listed Value $12.00

I really like this pair of elegant black studs. To me, they can easily be worn dressed up or down and will match any outfit. I also like the size, not too big or too small.

Kristi Choker – Listed Value $28.00

This gold tone choker with clear crystals is perfect for the choker trend that is going strong right now. One of the crystals was put in backward so it doesn’t sparkle but luckily it’s at the back near the clasp so you don’t notice when you wear it. The necklace is adjustable so you can wear it as tight (or not) as you like your chokers to be.

Star Studded Earrings – Listed Value $38.00

I don’t frequently wear dangly earrings, but these are gorgeous. They have loads of sparkle and didn’t feel too heavy on my earlobes. I love how the crystals almost form a sort of mesh and move around. They fold and swing and are so festive.

Alexis Choker – Listed Value $18.00

This is a simple black suede string with silver nubs at the ends. You can wrap and tie it as you wish. I tried it a couple of different ways and wasn’t sure if any of my techniques looked good on me. If you have a similar style of choker I’d love to hear how you wear it. Do you let the silver ends hang down in back or tie it in a knot?

Verdict: What a cool box of jewelry from The Trendy Box this month! The listed value is $96 which is wonderful for a $35 box. All the items felt trendy and other than the black suede choker, which I’m not sure works on me, I will be wearing everything. I’m excited to finally find an accessory box that meshes with my style. I can’t wait to see what they send next month.

  1. I would have the choker go around the neck twice or so and then tie a loose bow with the remaining, hanging, parts 🙂

  2. Thank you, Tracy! I wondered if it was a lariat necklace but since it was called a choker on the card I second-guessed myself. I’ll try it that way instead! ?

  3. Hi, Jessica. Thanks for the review. 🙂 Those star studded earrings look gorgeous on you! I think you are supposed to wear the choker like a lariat necklace. Tie it at the throat and let the cords hang down in the front. So, the choker part is at the neck, but there will still be some length to the necklace. This is supposed to be a boho piece that is super trendy right now. 🙂
