The Oxford Trunk is an online boutique that sells very funky ladies' clothing and accessories. I love their style! Their monthly mystery box gives you a choice among:

  • Boho, preppy, girlie, and classic styles
  • Large (3-5 items with a retail value of at least $85) or small (1-2 items with a retail value of at least $30, no clothing)
  • Pierced ears or non-pierced

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is of the Small Boho for Pierced Ears, $15 a month, box.

This month there was no literature included in the box.

Just as a note, these are items that The Oxford Trunk does not carry on its website usually, so I don't have any basis for providing links or retail values usually. I have heard that they send a lot of their sample items, which would make sense, but I have no way of knowing if that's true or not.

Beaded Wristlet

This is a beautiful beaded wristlet! I love the light blue color. The tag reads "Z&L" and "light blue evening clutch," but I couldn't find it online anywhere. The inside has no pockets, it's just lined with this same color fabric. I love the color and the beading! It has a summer-y vibe to me, though, so I'm going to save it until then.

Arrowhead Necklace

Also included was this pretty arrowhead necklace. It's very dainty, and perfect for layering!

Beaded Headband

Whoa! Check out this headband! I think it's the kind that you wear the central bead in the middle of your forehead if that makes sense. That's so different! I definitely don't have anything like this and as far as I'm concerned, the funkier, the better.

Verdict: I love The Ox Box! I can always count on them to send me unusual and pretty pieces. I loved all three items, but I think I love the wristlet the best. I never know the value of the pieces, so I just have to decide if I think the package was worth $20. This month's value seems like it was really good! Three pieces for $20!

I’d love to see a review of preppy, girlie or classic as I am the opposite of boho!

Me too! I would love to see the girlie version reviewed but any of those three would do.

The theme felt very summer and festival. I wish it was more winter, it would make me more likely to purchase.
