My box included a booklet detailing all of the items included this month.
Tsude Lemon Gum – Value $1.99
These were the first things I tried out of this box. I love lemon flavored candy, and these gumballs were exactly what I expected. The lemon flavor wasn’t overly intense or crazy sweet. The flavor did not last very long, though. There is a “sour core” at the heart of these gumboils, but it wasn’t overly sour to me. More like a Sweet-Tart than a Warhead, if you catch my drift.
Spice Cheese Chili Pepper Crackers – Value $2.99
These were incredible! Each individual cracker is like a pocket filled with creamy cheese. I am normally not a fan of fake cheese flavored things, so I was apprehensive at first. I ended up wolfing down the whole bag in a few minutes. They’re spicy, crunchy, and creamy all at once. I am definitely considering ordering a larger bag.
Kakugiri Pineapple Gummies – Value $2.99
Everyone was really into these pineapple gummies. They are probably my favorite thing in the box this month. Each gummy is a perfect little cube, and honestly, they are closer to a piece of dried pineapple than a gummy bear or gumdrop. At first, I thought it was just a bag of dried pineapple, which would have been fine with me. The pineapple flavor is strong and fresh, and this bag disappeared pretty quickly!
Xylish Crystal Mint Gum – Value $2.49
Sugar-free long lasting mint gum? Sign me up. I once gave up sugar for like, 6-ish months, and xylitol gum was a staple to get me past the sugar cravings. This gum is no exception and has a really intense mint flavor to boot. The flavor was long lasting for me and definitely kept it’s promise of a crystal-clean feel in my mouth.
Tokyo Otaku Mode Ninja Logo Sticker – Value $0.50?
A little bonus in this box was this heavy vinyl sticker featuring a cartoon ninja dude. He’s looking pretty surprised.
Verdict: This month’s Skoshbox was great. I really enjoyed all of the snacks, and I’m definitely considering ordering some larger bags of the pineapple and spice cheese treats. The value totals $10.96, which is below the cost of the monthly box. However, since this box is all about trying new things, I think it’s totally worth it. As was the case with last month’s Skoshbox, I would have never tried most of these items if I had happened to come across them in a Japanese market, but now I’ll seek them out!
What do you think of Skoshbox? What items did you like this month?
Great review!
