  1. I went to see if the shipping was really $30. Hoping it was less and telling myself there’s no way I would pay that much. When I got to the check out, you could get free international shipping for one year for $50. Instead of paying the $30 one time shipping fee. Even if I don’t buy anything (yeah right) till next years calendar I would save $10. Saving money is good right? At least that’s how I justified it to myself.

    • Was interested in this and found that Selfridges has my favorite chocolate. But then I noticed that they won’t ship the chocolate to the US. So I still need to find another justification for a year of shipping. πŸ™‚

    • I’m right there with you, I did the same thing!

  2. Combine orders with a friend and split shipping! It is a big splurge, but I want to have 24 days of fun with my two adult daughters even though we are apart. Hopefully we make a lot of fun memories. $30 express shipping to the US and it covered all 3 calendars. It made the shipping cost seem less painful.

    • That’s a good idea. Lol see if anyone in your city want to combine shipping lol for other ppl not you since your done lol

  3. I would love to get this box but the cost is prohibitive. Did any of you see the Masterpiece Series on Selfridge’s life on PBS. It was very interesting and sad.

    • Intrigued…I’m gonna have to check this out!

  4. That cat lip balm is too cute. Anyone know where I can buy these?

    • It is so cute and would be a perfect stocking stuffer! I quickly looked online earlier today and couldn’t find that particular cat. So I would be interested if anyone else found or knows anything.

    • They have some on Asos. The brand is oh k! They are super cute πŸ™‚

  5. Yikes! $30 shipping, way to make it on the back end.

    • My aunt lives in England. I mailed a 9×9 inch fabric potholder to her in August, and postage was $13.64, so I expect $30 for this larger and heavier package is the actual cost.

      • I agree with Mary here. For some reason, shipping prices from the U.S.A. to the U.K. and vice versa are redonkulous. I wanted to buy a boot rack on Etsy from the U.K. and the shipping was going to be $50, no BS.

  6. Love this! But I have so much stuff already! Think I’ll wait…

  7. I really love this, but the delivery is $30, right?

    • I couldn’t resist, so I ordered last Friday. Next year I will probably get the other advent calendar they offer too, and pay for the yearly shipping fee to the US lol

      • What color is you Luna?

        • I’m not sure yet. I received my package just before leaving for Thanksgiving vacation.

        • I just opened it, and I got the sunflower yellow Luna.

      • I just peeked at all of the items! It’s even better than I thought it would be! I’m so glad I ordered this! I will definitely order it again next year, and Selfridge’s other one too!!! Thank you for sharing all of your fabulous information Liz!!! You are just great!

    • She did that a week or so ago.

  8. I just ordered it too! Looks like a great value. I really wanted the Liberty Advent Calendar – you can use a mail forwarding company to send it to the US – but after the special handling fee of Β£68 (perfume) ADDED TO the shipping fee, I couldn’t justify the cost.

  9. I snagged this one :). It generally sells out fast and even though shipping is a lot, the contents are valued at almost $290. I’ve ordered from Selfridges before (actually ordered the Kiehls Advent Calendar) and it shipped super fast!

    • Oh, I’m SO bummed!!! I use tons of Kiehl’s products and while have many of these, I would’ve snatched one of these up quickly! Can’t believe I didn’t know about this! ?

      • Bummer! I heard they only released 300 of them and they sold out quickly. Selfridges has lots of nice advent calendars but not all ship to the US. And I don’t think a lot of people know about them in the US.

    • Mine already shipped too, wow!
