This box came with a card detailing all the items included:

Now, onto the items!

Le Metier De Beaute True Color Eyeshadow in Enigma - Value $30

This is a lovely navy shade with just a little shimmer and a lot of pigment. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Le Metier De Beaute True Color Eyeshadow in Stella - Value $30

le-metier-de-beaute-november-2016-0008

This is a bold periwinkle with the same pigment and shimmer qualities as the other eyeshadow. It's definitely not a shade I normally wear - so I give them credit for mixing it up!

And this box also came with foundation samples:

Le Metier De Beaute Afterglow Foundation - Sample

Shade 3: Fair with a beige undertone

Shade 5: Medium with a beige undertone

Le Metier De Beaute Afterglow Foundation - Sample

Shade 7: Tan with a golden undertone

This formula is lightweight, and it goes on sheer. It felt really good on my skin, and it looks like you aren't wearing any makeup at all. If you're looking for a light-coverage foundation, I recommend trying it!

Here are all the shades swatched:

(The foundation blends in pretty sheer, but I layered it on in this picture to better show the colors.)

Verdict: This box has a value of about for a $29 cost - not bad. Many months have values over $100, but if $60 is on the low end, that's pretty great. (And because I couldn't find the size of the full-size foundation I couldn't put together a value for the samples, but those were a nice bonus.)

What do you think of the November Beauty Vault VIP box?

Customer service said that it was OK to share their email.

“We have followed up with Jen. The error was that she had put the request in for your replacement shipment with the warehouse, and had forgotten to message you. She had thought she had sent a message. We have addressed the issue with her.

However, errors to happen in businesses in which everything is not automated. We don’t automate the making of our products, we don’t automate our Vip Program and we do not automate our client service. The rewards of a system like this? When we get it right, which is 99% of the time – we get it VERY right. We make the best beauty products in the world and we do it with this process.

We can definitely appreciate your frustration and can learn from it. Feel free to share anything you would like with your friends on the internet – good or bad. It is all part of the process in building businesses in the 21st Century. We do hope that you enjoy the rest of the VIP Program. ”

Sorry, I would not send an email like this to any of our clients. I do make mistakes, and I own up to them…no excuses and no justification.

As Le Metier de Beaute customer service calls you my “friends”…hey friends! I just want to let you know that in following up on the multiple emails that I sent LMdB, I received quite an arrogant and antagonistic response (at least it was a response, finally).
I have asked if I could share it, because it is a private correspondence, so I will post it if they give me the OK.
I really hope that someone was just having a bad day, because it is not a smart idea to cop an attitude when you are in customer service…especially when you communicate via email.
So, my friends, the verdict is that their customer service sucks.

I emailed the survey info to them and put it in the mail also when I saw we were getting a foundation and never got a response.

The foundation was one of the spoilers when sign ups were still open, so I would assume we should still get one if we didn’t this time…

I wish it was easier to contact them, I looked through my email again and don’t think I missed anything…

Yeah some people got foundation and I also got the eye shadows. I really like the eye shadows and the foundation is nice too. Why do some people get eye shadows and others got foundation?

I did fill out and send in that initial question card.

I love the eye shadows though. Colors are gorgeous.

My mom and I both bought the VIP subscription and both received a full size foundation, the shade she received was perfect for her (and me) but the shade I got is way to light!! I’ve tried emailing customer service but still haven’t gotten a response. I didn’t realize that did variations.

I also received a full-sized foundation…in the 100% wrong color. Someone is going to be very, very happy when they swap for this.

Send customer care an email and they should send you a return label and the correct color foundation with your December box.

Heather

Correcting my mistake, I went back through my emails again and found a response. I had overlooked it because it was from someone with the same last name as a friend…next time I’ll look closer BEFORE I post anything.
