Ipsy December 2016 Glam Bag Spoilers!

So I tried to email Ipsycare right after I saw this and they told me that I had to email them before the 30th to opt out of and request items for my bag. They said that my request would be effective for January. I’m a little disappointed.
I really hope I get the Tarteist Lip Paint!

Just emailed them, so I guess Ill see!! I requested to opt out of eyeshadow, lipstick and hand cream and requested the illuminizer by Josie Maran. I really hope that this is something that’s going to be permanently implemented, I love the Ipsy brand so much but I have never, NEVER had a “wow” bag. But Ive had plenty of complete duds. I completely understand they cant accommodate everything for everyone but I should at least receive 2-3 items I want or can use, they do advertise as “personalized”. It’s not that I don’t like what they offer either, as I usually would be happy with 60%+ of the spoiler items, but normally receive none of them, one if I’m lucky. Fingers crossed! Also I got an email showing the spoilers and in it you can see the bag (or at least what I assume is the bag). It’s a nice rich red that looks fuzzyish, not furry but definitely textured. and it has a gold ipsy plaque on the front and a wrist hoop on the zipper pull so it can function as a clutch, for anyone interested.

I am getting the Tarte oil next month and am so excited for it. I got the Benefit Porefessional this month and I wasn’t wowed and the sample was so tiny I was bummed. I have been with ipsy since Sept and if this month sucks like the others, I’m cancelling and sticking to my BoxyCharm.

I got that Tarte gloss in the Tarte sample kit from Ulta last week, and it is super pigmented in one swipe! I read reviews that it is not long-lasting, but in that VERY dark wine color, it lasted on me and even left a stain when I tried to remove it. I didn’t test it out when eating, but for that dark color at least, it really sticks! It is also a super deep and dark wine and sort of vampy. It’s very pretty if you like dark colors. Also it is thick and creamy and not sticky or super shiny like I expected from the term glossy. I love enough I want it in my December bag-or the Maracuja oil which I also love! I like trying new things but if I get pricey treats I already enjoy in there too, at least I will be happy with something in my bag for sure! I wrote to ask for it in my bag today-hopefully not too late!

Man, me either. I always do the 3 drops, get about half my face, and then have to go back for more, even with warming it in my hands like they say. Maybe we need to just put a drop directly onto each quadrant of the face? If anyone knows the secret, please tell us!

I got the Josie Maran illuminator in an offer, and it is SO glowy and beautiful, however it is very gold-toned. So it is a bit warm for me. I would love it in a cool pearly shade. I also have an issue that way too much comes out in a pump-when I’d like to just use a teeny dot on my cheeks and nose. I’ve found it works best for me when I mix it into my moisturizer, apply all over my face, and then cover it with make up so I glow a bit from within. 🙂 Mixed with moisturizer alone, my face looks SO glowy. It is really beautiful but a bit TOO much for me. 🙂 I think it helps a bit that my moisturizer is white and slightly tones down the golden. If you have warm undertones, try this!

See that it what I do not get. If there is a special everyone gets one like this it seems unfair to have all prestige Brands and one drugstore brand. Dont get me wrong I love Nyx but I do subs to try new things and if everyone else gets a pricey brand, it just seems unfair.

If there are 2 NYX options, odds are that almost everyone will get one.

Same thing here. I have a feeling almost all of us picked the tarte oil & whoever wasn’t in the test group won’t even get the option of it, because we will have already claimed all the samples.

Wow…I wish they had offered me something like this last month, because that was the first time (and thankfully the only time out of the six bags I’ve received so far) I’ve received a bag with a product I can’t use because I’m allergic to one of the ingredients. Real shame about the moisturizer (the Sally’s Box gel cream) having chamomile in it, because otherwise October’s bag would have been perfect and stolen the title of ‘best bag’ from my August bag.

But I’ve got to say that December’s list of products everyone will receive at least one from has to be the best list of featured products I’ve seen since I started subscribing. No black mascaras!

It’s funny, cause I had emailed and complained about my bag last month, and they made some temporary adjustments to my account I think, but never offered this. I emailed them back to ask if I could get the Tarteist or POREfessional out of the options in the photo (I’m oily and most of my lipsticks are already matte), and out of the items you listed, the Hanalei lip treatment. I have the large tubes and LOVE it, but it takes up quite a bit of space in my makeup bag and I wouldn’t mind a sample size. Hopefully, they will consider honoring at least one of my requests, cause I really do not need a face oil or illuminator.

Thanks for sharing! I love the Ciate Liquid Lipstick in Pinup. I’m new to shaded lip products and this color has helped me get a little out of my comfort zone.
